i used to get free 100$ certificates to mervyns, id get hella socks, i found some thick white tees, some dickies, and some high top nikes, fuck what you heard, you can find some shit there

Mervyn's was a good place to get a credit card when building your credit; I haven't shopped there in over a decade so I don't know what shoes and clothes they have had there for years, but they used to be fine for casual wear.

shit i used to work at the mervyns in stoccton....it was my 1st real job when i was just 17 way bacc in the day....used to stay lit n there were hella female co workers to kicc it with....

is mervyns still owned by that Dayton Hudson company? cuz they own target too....i remember i got 20% off at mervynns and 10% off at target all day with my employee card....

technically it was my 1st real legit job that i got on my own....

dont get it twisted im from a hispanic family n my stepdad was in the military till i was 12 so i was working soon as i could walk n shit....my mom used to run a house cleaning business on the base and i had to help with that or stay home and watch my lil bro n sis and cook dinner n clean up n shit......probably why i hate working so much now i feel like im ready to retire already.....

but yeah my 1st payroll job was at 15 working in the summer at that lil petting zoo/farm in north vallejo....but it was through the Private Industry Council and i didnt have to try to get the job it was basically given to me cuz i was on probation and in a foster home....then when i was 16 PIC paid for a lot of students at South Solano Skills Center to go to summer school and get paid to be in class half the day and learn a trade the other half so i got to take a computer training class and get paid....i dont count those though cuz i didnt really get the jobs on my own with an interview or nothing....

Mervyns i did all myself and even wedged my way in when they werent supposed to hire anyone under 18 so they somehow made a mistake but liked me enough to say fucc it cuz i was only 6 months from being 18 anyways....i just couldnt run a register while i was under 18 and i had to have a work permit from school.....
