He tested positive in August, not when they suspended him it just took them that long to suspend him.... So it makes no sense to say he perform the same after he got suspended because that doesnt mean thats when he stopped using them....... He cheated so i think that he doesnt deserve any awards at least for this season.........

so from what you are saying, he tested positive in the off season(which is wrong) so he was playing the whole season clean? he must have because once you test positive you are forced to be tested weekley. by what you posted it sounds to me that he is a beast without steriods and should be given every award he deserves

Here is the bottom line, Merriman is not the only player to ever get caught using steriods, hell he is not even the only one this year. All the controversy is only because he is so dominant. There is no rule saying that he should be kept out, therefore he should be an all-pro. The nfl should look at this in the off season and reconstruct the rules. They should come back next year with new guidelines. People on this board know that im a big charger fan, but i also try to be a realest. Whether he did it or not, he tested positive so he HAD to serve his suspension. The biggest thing for me was seeing how he would return, obviously be policed by the nfl and having to be tested on a regular bases.

there is no way in hell merriman should win defensive player of the year! he missed 4 games...............an his team kicked plenty ass without him in there

if you took Champ away for 4 games we would get LIT UP through the air.


I have no problem with dude goin to the pro bowl though, look how many pro bowls Lawrence Taylor went too........shit he even made the hall of fame

The Pro-Bowl was never that huge of an accolade to me, so I gives a fuck if someone thinks he shouldn't go. However, he should not be eligible to receive Defensive Player of the Year. That said, it's not Jason Taylor's place to be speaking on it, let those who decide make that decision.

I was very disappointed that Merriman was cheating, but he proved why I was disappointed. He didn't even fucking need it. Dude is a savage ass sack machine without it.
