How do you know they died of depression? What signs do you gotta look for to tell that is what killed them?
I moved into a different spot, and wasn\'t spending nearly as much time with them as I did previously. They both started not eating and getting lethargic. I had read in hella different places that iguanas get used to a certain quality of life, and even small changes can trigger a deadly depression.

someone remembers!!!

yes, the first day I signed up for AIM was the day that my Dino-Girl died, and I couldn\'t think of an AIM name, so I did that in homage to her!

Gosh, Shea, you just brought a tear to my eye.

and I still have an email from Sicx when I first signed up for the sicc and he emailed me and said *youre 6 foot and a female, I have to meet you*.

LMAO!

Cool...

I checked it out... In addition to Iguanas he gotta a gang of Water Dragons on there too! From what I read, he only mentions them once by name...

"Back to the story..... (From 1982 until 1998) I maintained a group averaging 30 to 50 iguanas, sometimes even more besides the other groups of lizards that I also got into collecting, such as Chinese water dragons, Solomon Island tree skinks and Sneider skinks. The lizards became more and more of a fascination for me, I developed a total commitment to them."

This photo has a female Water Dragon on the left:

This one the Water Dragon is on the right:

This pic has 2 Iguanas:

This is at the bottom of the page... every lizard in this pic are Water Dragons:

He's not giving the Chinese Water Dragons props! WTF...

LOL! So the water dragon doesn't have the flared throat! I get it now!

He's a good dude though, and would always answer his phone and help me with my iguana worries/questions!

^ Cool... Glad I could be of service!

If you ever can't get ahold of him for whatever reason - another good resource is the East Bay Vivarium... They're on 5th st in Berkeley... The got some crazy shit out that way as well; you should check 'em out when you get the chance!

I've been to the Vivarium thousands of times.

I actually ended up giving them a male iguana (about 4 ft.) because he got sexually frustrated and started tryin to rape Dino.
