At a post-fight press conference in New York on Thursday, Floyd Mayweather Jr. said that he's waiting for Oscar De La Hoya to call for a rematch. Mayweather who before the fight said it was his last fight and then he'd retire, is now hinting that he is willing to go on. In fact Mayweather is waiting for De La Hoya to call for a rematch.

"We had a good fight," Mayweather said, adding: "I think that number two would be even better, because we can fight toe-to-toe. And I really have nothing else to prove in this sport."

In regards to a rematch with De La Hoya, Mayweather said: "He wants to talk about part two, he can call me,"adding: "I say there's pride involved. If he tells all you guys he won't come back and fight again, he'll come back and fight me again. That's it."

Mayweather confirmed he made $25 million to $30 million on his fight with De La Hoya.

LOL @ Mayweather saying they would go toe-to-toe. Classic Mayweather bullshit right there. He said the same thing when he fought Baldy, Zab, and pretty much everyone else he's fought.

How many times has he delivered.

I'd still like to see a rematch. I don't think that Floyd won by that big of a margin, and I feel like De La Hoya did well in negating Floyd's speed with the jab, up until about the 7th Round and on...

See, I'm not mad at Floyd from fighting like that. Thats his forte. Thats how he's fought every single pro fight I've ever seen him in. Thats no surprise.

But don't sit there and say..

I'm gonna massacre him

I'm gonna go toe to toe

I'm gonna give him a beating

Unless you really plan on doing that.

I wouldn't want Floyd to change his gameplan to success, just to entertain a crowd. Because then if he gets KO'd...he'll have an excuse.

He really wants more money is what it is. I heard something like it was a record in PPV revenues at $150,000,000. It was promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, Mayweather was suppose to get $10 mil but got $20 mil. De La Hoya got a nice chunk at $50 mil. I think the largest revenues before that was $50 or something like that.

winner of Miguel Cotto vs. Zab Judah

I think cotto is younger n' better than mayweather at this point...wouldn't mind seeing judah go at it with him again, early in their last fight he gave mayweather some trouble

Mayweather won't fight Zab again...there wouldn't be enough money involved. The only fights I see Floyd taking realistically, is another rematch with Oscar...or a fight with Shane Mosley. I think a fight with Sugar could stir up some attention.

I'd definitely pay for that. I'd take Shane too. He seems to be quicker and he throws punches in bunches. His defense isn't all that, but shit...he's got great chin and Floyd doesn't throw the jab religiously anyways. That seems to be Shane's weakness...
