At a post-fight press conference in New York on Thursday, Floyd Mayweather Jr. said that he's waiting for Oscar De La Hoya to call for a rematch. Mayweather who before the fight said it was his last fight and then he'd retire, is now hinting that he is willing to go on. In fact Mayweather is waiting for De La Hoya to call for a rematch.
"We had a good fight," Mayweather said, adding: "I think that number two would be even better, because we can fight toe-to-toe. And I really have nothing else to prove in this sport."
In regards to a rematch with De La Hoya, Mayweather said: "He wants to talk about part two, he can call me,"adding: "I say there's pride involved. If he tells all you guys he won't come back and fight again, he'll come back and fight me again. That's it."
Mayweather confirmed he made $25 million to $30 million on his fight with De La Hoya.
