@ czar,
I think you are drinking a bit of the Kool Aid. Floyd not using his legs is a sign of his aging. He looked a little more winded than usual against Cotto in the corner between rounds too. Maybe that was because he was having trouble breathing from the bloody nose, IDK, but the signs are there. He's made his style work with his efficiency and hasn't had to use his legs as much but a physical fight against a strong welterweight will sap some of his energy for sure.

To be clear, I think Mayweather is far and away more skilled than Robert. The Ghost has been my favorite boxer for at least a few years now and I'm happy to see him get the fight but I probably put my blinders on for a fighter I like less than most boxing fans. I call it like I see it. Robert is pretty slow at 147 lbs, so Mayweather will see those punches coming which isn't good. Guerrero's best option is to rough Floyd up. Guerrero throws a good left uppercut and somewhat of a funk sort of left uppercut in the clinch that might help. But Father Time is the brother of ring rust. They go hand in hand breh. Floyd has done well to avoid it in the past, but he's getting older and sometimes fighters get old overnight.

Name one fighter that got old overnight. You can't because it doesn't happen like that and it will never happen like that.

Im glad u confident but its easier said then done. I dont think the Ghost is better all around then Cotto by the way. Im telling u now it will depend on the ref on how much of a chance Robert has. That last ref in Robert's fight was one of the worst Ive seen. he let Robert do whatever he wanted and to much holding was goin on. That wont be the case this fight trust me. Cant wait man. Got Em!!

Drinking the kool-aid? I do drink crystal light lol. U can say what u think but Ill always pick my guy to win until someone proves me wrong. Floyd will be ready and will train extra hard for this. His cardio will be top notch and again as long as the fight is officiated correctly, the Ghost will be in trouble. Got Em!!

I do pretty much agree with u but Roy Jones sorta comes to mind a lil bit. Seems after Tarver knocked him out he was done after that. Got Em!!

When Jones lost to Tarver his record went to 49-2. That means he had 50 professional fights up to that point. 50 professional fights is a lot of fights so how does Roy Jones come to mind? You think his decline started when Tarver knocked him out? Well, he is 7-7 since that defeat (which includes that defeat) and again, 50 fights is a lot of fights. This is boxing, this is a brutal and physical sport so rest assurred that his decline didn't come at the 50th or so fight. rather, his decline came before then. Watch a couple of fights before he made the jump to HW and you'll see this.

Then you have to look at Jones for what he truly was which is a TALENTED boxer, not a SKILLED boxer. That's two different things in the world of boxing.

Fine Heresy, no fighter has been 22 years old with 21 fights and in his next fight looked old. But People like Shane Mosely have. You're misunderstanding the term. Fighter looks good-great for a whole career then suddenly has no pop. If you're looking for an example, Shane Mosley is that guy. There are more, but none more apparent than that. He was always in decent shape, didn't blow up between fights like Hatton etc...

I'm not misunderstanding anything and if you watch Shanes fights you'll see a decline as well. Again, fighters just don't mysteriously wake up and bam, they are on the decline. It's a progression. Some are able to avoid it for longer (BHOP for example) and others experience it sooner (Pac for example.) And why are you talking about Shane being in decent shape? We are talking about fighters getting old and in boxing, when the term old is used, they aren't just talking about a guys age and body but where his skills are presently.

Dude u just made my point. Jones was on top of his game until Tarver knocked him out. Then after that knockout he never looked the same. It was like he declined right before our eyes in that fight and goin forward. thats my opinion. U dont have to agree with it but thats how I feel. Got Em!!

You need to read what I wrote again, "his decline didn't come at the 50th or so fight, rather, his decline came before then. Watch a couple of fights before he made the jump to HW and you'll see this." So no, I didn't make your point.

Dude its ok we just agreed to disagree. I dont think he declined before then. I already said that. He declined against Tarver and pretty bad. I didnt say it was his 40th or 50th fight, I just said to me he was still ballin and then all of a sudden he was getting beat left and right. Again just my take man. We dont have to agree on everything man. Got Em!!

Once again you aren't reading or either you don't know as much about RJJ as you think you do. His fight against Tarver was his 51st fight so you are saying he declined at his 51st fight. 51 professional fights doesn't seem like a lot to you? Again, watch some of his fights before he made the jump to HW and you'll see he was already showing signs of decline.

Boy ole boy this is gonna go on forever. I didnt see big signs of him declining before Tarver. To me after Tarver he just wasnt the same at all. i dont mean signs I mean he declined from one fight to the next in a big way. thats what I mean. His few fights before tarver I still thought he was on top of his game. Maybe small signs but nuthin major. After the knockout it seemed like it was all over in a big way. Hope u understand where I am comin from now. Got Em!!

Fat Dan isn't sure Canelo vs Trout will happen after all, or even Canelo on the undercard.

Dan Rafael ‏ D @danr afaelespn

Issue with Alvarez-Trout is, from what I'm told, Floyd's unwillingness to commit contractually to an Alvarez fight in the fall (more)

Mayweather just got done beating up one of the best inside pressure fighters in boxing Cotto. Mayweather is going to break Guerrero's body down then beat him up for a UD or late TKO.
