Floyd had no choice but to take the money or fuck off. You guys honestly think Showtime wanted to share a ppv bout with HBO? You guys think Haymon and Espinoza wanted to do business with Arum? Fuck no! Now Floyd can't even mind fuck Manny cuz this is what Manny has always wanted, not Floyd. We can all agree Floyd wins the fight before it even starts, but bot this time. That's what I mean by he lost already
You aren't making any sense.

Lol

anyways, that press conference was kind of lame. Not much there at all as far as promotion goes. They really are banking on the "this fight sells itself" belief, which is true, but still would have loved a bit more showmanship, a little controversy, some WWE, let Floyd Sr talk, let him say shit to Roach and vice versa.

HERESY @HERESY Its not that I hate them. But do you think you should have waited so long to see this fight? You think you should be paying so much to watch Floyd fight C-level fighters? We only got 1 really good year off of Haymon and that's because of GBP. He was trying to jack ODH. Don't you want to see Danny Garcia vs Provodnkov? Mandatories get their shot at titles instead of receiving step aside money? GGG vs Quillin? That's what I don't like.

To answer the first question, no I don't think we should have waited this long but we're past that point now. There was fuck shit on BOTH sides for YEARS but now we finally have it. Why can't we just accept that?

Second question, no, I don't believe we should be paying that much to see Floyd fight c level fighters.

Third question, I want to see Garcia fight the best guys period.

I don't endorse step aside money. I want to see people fight GGG instead of ducking him.

But you blame Floyd and Haymon for the most crazy shit though, breh.

This is basically the biggest fight in history and there is a lot riding on this. Yes both guys are HOF now. If they were to walk away today they would be HOF inductees in no time. The thing is, this is HISTORY and you don't see mega fights like this often.

So I say enjoy this shit while we have. Like I said years ago, when Floyd is gone the boxing world is going to miss him and what he brought to the table, so just be thankful that the match is made, place your bets if you are a betting man (I don't gamble with money), have some weed and some heem while watching the fight, along with good food, and surround yourself with good people and enjoy the fight. All that other shit like who is at fault, who should have done this, it's water under the bridge. Like my breh Rumple said, as long as these two stay healthy its good and I want to see who will be on the undercard as well.

And for the second time in this thread I am leaning towards Pac. Shit may change come the day of the fight but I feel like he has something up his sleeve, nothing to lose and wants to be the main guy in boxing.

This pic right here explains the whole fight...a great big man beats a great little man...

Manny Pacquiao only throws 1-2 punches and never really throws any effective body punches...to much head hunting...once Pacquiao realizes what Marquez saw that night when he fought Floyd..."His style is very difficult"...there will be NO PLAN B...the will be NO ADJUSTMENTS by Pacquiao only Floyd making this fight look like it never should have taken place.

Floyd's long right...just like Marquez's overhand right won't miss and Floyd shoots that shot from clear across the ring. Manny has to get past the jab...the long right...and Floyd playing the distance game...not gonna happen.

The Bay Area @The Bay Area So what about what Manny did to Marquez at 150? The question really is going to be how will Floyd react to Manny's stamina past the 6th round? Cotto was on a come up be he really wore down at the end, bigtime. Manny won't. Watch the 7th, 8th, and 9th rounds as Floyds face will get beyond busted. Erroll Spence said it best, if Maidana was able to catch him, Manny definitely will

^^^ Stfu, Marquezs stamina isnt the greatest or anything. He just was able to counter Manny so effectively that Manny couldnt be overbearing. Pretty simple stuff beat Manny to the punch countering him and hes just an ordinary fighter. You may want to rewatch there 3rd fight. Marquez boxed beautifully, such a shame the judges had to ruin that fight for him. However Manny wouldnt have been ko'd in the 4th fight if that didnt happen. Things tend to fix themselves.

So why did Ray Leonard beat great guys who were larger than himself? Why did Hagler body Hearns in three rounds?

Lol@pac not throwing combos. Are you serious, breh?

Hearns was the fighter moving UP to face the middle weight champion Hagler. Leonard beat a GREAT BIG man once...that was bigger than him...the rest were in the same weight class or smaller... Benitez (same) Hearns (same) Duran (smaller)...moved up to fight Hagler.

I never said Pacuiao "didn't" throw combinations.

Really? Is this a typo? You meant to say Floyd right? Because Floyd is the one who clearly only throws one to two punches at a time. Pac still throws combos.
Yeah. I understand what Floyd does...but he operates his offense with: jabs to the head, lead hooks, jabs to the body, lead rights...Pacquiao doesn't commit to the jab he only paws with it to start his same 1-2 punch "combination" or his lead left...Pacquiao is a head hunter and once that fails there is no Plan B. Pacquiao is reliant on coming forward and powering into his offense with the 1-2 set up...he doesn't work the body, he doesn't lead with upper cuts or vary his lead left (it's always straight)...Floyd will time Manny's advancement...which will be awkward in the beginning but Manny will slow down by the 6th round and it will be Floyd mopping the floor with Pacquiao.

Read what I told 2-0-Sixx about what will happen to Manny after the 6th round.

I'm looking at their weights and height for the fight. Hearns was 159 3/4 and Hagler was 159 1/2. Hagler was 5'7. Hearns was 6'1. So who was the bigger man here? Hagler basically campaigned at middleweight while Hearns eventually fought at light heavyweight and cruder weight. So you're going to tell me Hagler was the bigger man simply because Hearns moved up? He moved up and stayed there then went to higher weight classes.

And remember we are talking "great" fighters so I can't talk about all the guys Tyson beat because Bruno, Seldom, bone crusher, Ruddock, etc weren't "great." Good but not "great."

As for Pac you said 1-2 punches. So the two punches would be a combo.
