id say they are still a good 3-6 years outta being real contenders because of the lasting effects of his horrid drafts.....but today is a good day for lions fans...

this IS bigger then al davis dying for raider fans....matt millen has been the face of loser since he become president

Look at it this way...Millen has done a horrible job and pissed off Lions fans for the past 7 years. Al Davis has been pissing off Raider fans for 25+ years...

Plus aside from a few good seasons here and there the Lions havn't been shit long before Millen.

He explained that it robbed him of his competitive spirit, and he saw no reason to believe things were going to improve. He also stated that there were tears in his eyes as the Lions lost the final game of his career the season before he left, because he knew in his heart he was never going to play another NFL game - "I sobbed for 3 months."[

Yeah i remember when sanders called it quits they weren't going to let him play for another team no matter what so he retired.
