I just know XXL put a full page diss to him with his pic and all....lol, it was pretty hilarious. Telling him to quit rapping and whatever he was doing to his brother Silkk's career to PLEASE stop...LMFAO. I respect P and No Limit...it was just hilarious to see a magazine do that.

He should stop rapping or go back to the days of the mid/late 90's.
Real talk! I remember seeing some special about P on BET around 2000, when that GHETTO POSTAGE CD came out. He said some shit about, "well, yesterday's audience was into the slow-rolling gangsta shit, but today's audience wanna party!" Yeah, yeah, yeah, and I'm Santa Claus!

I guess that was his justification for the shit he's put out since '99, after Beats by the Pound left. Someone needs to tell P that this is RAP, not pom-pom girl tryouts. He sounds like a cheerleader with his "where you at, where you at, right here, right here" shit! Goddammit P, RAP, don't chant! And when you rap, stop making these skimpy verses that only last eight bars! Remember when P used to rap forever on songs like "Back Up Off Me" and "Dead Presidents?" Yeah, I know, he's too rich to care, but the way he is now, his ice cream has melted...PEACE!

still though, I remember when that fool was hoopin at Contra Costa College and tried to block a dunk by AJ Warren. Yall remember the kid that went to Kennedy. Just for TRYING to block that dunk, I'll give him a lil love. Its not often you are willing to get pooped on infront of a crowd. Anyway, I'm not a fan of his style, but he mad ehis bread and is now basically out. Most successful rappers have an "out" or an"exit plan" Nobody raps until they are 50. ALl the OG's have some kind of side hustle, acting, real estate, stocks, whatever..... P is doing the damn thang with his money so......

I don't see why a cat like him should retire judging by the bullshit that muthafuckas buy these day, DMX, 50 cent AKA Pocket Change, Feminem, Booty-Cris, etc....
If trash like that gets radio play, why should cats like Puffy get out the game?

Just being real....

i'd have to agree with P about the audiance is more into party songs than the G shit. look at all the shit you see on MTV and BET and shit now. you wouldn't see that shit back in the day. you got them rapping about popping bottles of some expensive alcohol, ridding on dub's, flossing they're platinum watches and neclaces around, and shit you wouldn't hear back in the day. went from G funk era to bling bling shit. but i'd have to agree that P has fallen off greatly, though. its all good, though.

I used to love P and No Limit but he fucked his shit up when he let Mystikal, Kane+Able,Mr. Serv-On,Big Ed,KLC, Fiend go. He basically let all the real talent from the label go. After that I ain't purchased 1 album. Still play the old shit. I love it for what it was.

wasn't Mystikal's contract up? and didn't let him go. Kane & Able left i think left because they were getting tied up in some drug business with P. i dont know why Serv-On, Big Ed, KLC and Fiend are off the tank, probally due to some money issues, because Kane & Able got that Off The Tank album and the first song talks about how the former NO soldiers still got bank when their off the tank. but i dont buy no more new NL stuff no more, just the old stuff.

1). Mystikal admitted in several magazines that his contract was indeed up (as was Snoop's).

2). As for Big Ed (R.I.P.), I read an interview with him on old website (WODIE.COM or something). Money was part of why he left, but Ed also said that during the '94/'96 days, he, P, Silkk, Serv-On, Tre-8 (remember him?), King George, and the others would do meet-and-greets (i.e., signing autographs after shows, meeting fans at restaurants after shows, etc.). Once No Limit blew up nationally, P didn't want to do the fan interaction thing anymore, and Big Ed missed that.

3). KLC told DOWNSOUTH.COM that P didn't want to pay him and the other BBTP men what they felt they deserved (Carlos Stephens stayed anyway), but also stated that he couldn't elaborate too specifically, since legal action was (then) pending. KLC claimed that he didn't like the direction P started taking around late '98 when the No Limit CDs started having too many skimpy two-verse (or less) songs, particularly the dance stuff (listen to disc two of TRU's DA CRIME FAMILY lately? Didn't think so. LOL!). He said that P's post-early '99 stuff doesn't sell because he's "not giving the fans what they want," and also said (in so many words) that P was great at coming up with hooks, but that there's more to Rap then just hooks.

As far as Fiend and Serv-On...I've never heard anything specific about why they left, but I always liked their CDs (THERE'S ONE IN EVERY FAMILY and LIFE INSURANCE). PEACE!

^yeah man, i remember Tre-8, how could i forget him with his Ghetto Stories album? that album is a heater. i wonder if P would be on top again if he got KLC and Beats By the Pound back again. why hasn't P made a Best of No Limit either? shit that would sell alot, cause NL has a shit load of tight tracks to put on there. enough to make a double album probally. ;)
