Em's tracks are simply observational humor. I don't see you bitching about Dave Chappelle's stand up where he's talking about Michael Jackson sucking little kids dicks (I call that a good host!). And I don't recall Em bullying any gay people, he just said faggot all the time in his songs.
As far as his diss tracks, he's got Nail In The Coffin for Benzino and this one for Mariah. Other than that, all his lyrics about anybody are just observational humor like I said, and it ends up offending people. That's the point. IDGAF, and I'm gonna say what I say, its controversial, and I'm gonna get paid. Its nothing personal. But thats not beef. The benzino and mariah tracks were beef, personal shit. Talking about Elvis, Michael, Tom Green humping mooses, Pam and Tommy Lee, all that shit is for shock value.
...but you don't see Tommy Lee drumming out a track screaming about how he hates Eminem, so if Mariah goes through a video DRESSING UP LIKE EMINEM after he drops 4 bars in one song in his new mediocre album, who's really obsessed with who?
first off, dave chappelle is a comedian, and hes funny.
eminem isnt a comedian, and hes at best, smirkable.
observational humor..great..i guess mariahs obsessed was also observational humor....but what does that have to do with the thread, wherre were weighing in on what we think about the current two songsand who we think 'won'?
so you really not think calling mariah a whore and a bitch on a song wasnt for shock value and was real beef? you dont beef with a girl. i find that hard to believe. and i dont listen to mariah or eminems albums, so i really wouldnt care whos album is mediocre, cuz neighter one of them get bumped.
ive already weighed in enough on this thread, take what ive said as a grain of salt, i dont think it needs to be discussed anymore on my end.
i dont listen to eminem, im more likely to listen to something like young zee, rich the factor or c-hecc or somethin, so my opinion is based on a outsiders view and not a fan of either.
well im more a fan of mariah, because shes pretty.
one thing tho, as far as observational humor, i find em slightly less funny than weird al yankovich, so it dosent get any props to me. (weird al did that what, a decade and a half ago with 'fat'?) if he wants to be lyrical and quit trying to be funny, thats probably best. thats what we wanna hear. we have comedians.
