Balotelli is one of the best trolls in sports history

Premier League - Balotelli 'sets fire to house with firework'
Manchester City's build-up to the Manchester derby has received an unusual distraction after Mario Balotelli managed to set fire to his own house with a firework in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Italian striker, who has a history of self-inflicted problems, was letting off fireworks in his bathroom with friends which then led to "a substantial fire" according to a report in the Guardian.
Balotelli is alleged to have told the club that he was letting off the fireworks out a window, when one of them caused a towel to catch fire which then quickly spread.
Balotelli is believed to have claimed that one of his friends let off the incriminating firework while at one point he is said to have run back inside the burning house to recover a quantity of money and a suitcase.
The Guardian quotes the fire service as saying: "Four breathing apparatus and two hose reel water jets were used to deal with the fire and a large fan was used to clear the smoke from the property.
"Crews managed to put the fire out within half an hour of arriving but remained at the scene until 2.45 am to prevent any possible flare-ups. Smoke alarms were fitted at the property and the occupiers were able to get out unharmed. The fire was caused by a firework."
A police spokesman added: "Police provided assistance to Cheshire fire and rescue service as well as ensuring residents were accounted for and there was no danger to surrounding properties. At this time, the cause of the fire is being examined by fire investigators and the police. However, it is not thought to be suspicious."
Balotelli, who has scored in each of his last four games, has since checked into a hotel with the City team ahead of Sunday's derby with Manchester United and trained with his team-mates on Saturday.

Mario Balotelli wins £25,000... then gives £1,000 to a tramp

GENEROUS soccer star Mario Balotelli gave £1,000 to a tramp outside a casino — after a whopping £25,000 win.
The Manchester City striker, 20, shared his windfall on a night out with Blackburn Rovers ace Chris Samba.
Balotelli — who earns £100,000 a week after signing from Inter Milan for £24million last year — is said to often give cash to homeless people he sees around Manchester. His latest act of kindness came outside the city's 235 Casino last week.
A source said: "Mario is really generous. He always hands £20 notes to the Big Issue boys without even taking the magazine. There's a guy he always sees around town with ginger dreadlocks and a beard. He carries his possessions in two carrier bags.
"He was outside the club in the early hours so Mario handed him a wad of notes after his big win. The tramp couldn't believe his luck. It was enough to keep him going for months."
Balotelli has frequently hit the headlines for his off-the-pitch antics. At the weekend he had a scuffle with Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand after City's 1-0 win in the FA Cup semi-final. Last month he got an official warning for throwing darts at youth team players at his club's Carrington training ground. That followed his sending off against Dynamo Kiev. His fines now total £300,000 in one season.

Mario Balotelli scores for schoolboys
MARIO BALOTELLI should get a Heart of Gold from ESTHER RANTZEN.
The Manchester City star helped a young autograph hunter being picked on at school – by confronting the bully himself.
The striker questioned why the young lad was playing truant with his mum outside the club's Carrington training ground rather than attending school.
After the fan revealed that he was being bullied, Mario drove the youngster and his mum over to the school in question and demanded a meeting with the headteacher.
The Blues ace got the youngster to confess what had been happening and made him identify the culprit. The lads eventually shook hands before Mario got into his white Maserati and sped off.
A source said: "Mario feels strongly about bullying and thinks it's out of order.
"He had no qualms about sorting the mess out as he felt the lad should not be missing out on school."
If you were the bullied lad's mum, please get in contact.

I bet grapes cried that day
