A Vallejo man shot twice in the head during a robbery Sunday night drove himself to the hospital and is expected to fully recover, Vallejo police said Tuesday.
Jashan Bradley, 29, and his girlfriend, 26-year-old Cheryal Laguardia, were sitting in a parked vehicle on the 300 block of Forresthill Drive with two unidentified men in the back seat, Vallejo police said.

At about 9:30 p.m., the two men started to rob Laguardia and Bradley at gun point and one suspect fired two shots into the back of Bradley's head, Vallejo Detective Sgt. Lee Horton said.

The suspects - described as two black men in their early 20s, medium to heavy build and wearing dark clothing - ran from the car with some of the couple's belongings, police said.

Bradley drove himself to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center-Vallejo where he was treated and released, police said. Laguardia was not injured during the incident, Horton said.

Hospital officials contacted Vallejo police when Bradley came in with gunshot wounds. Officers determined the shooting was the aftermath of earlier reports of a man screaming and squealing tires in the area where he was shot, Horton said.

Police declined to comment on the relationship of the four people involved or why they were sitting in a parked vehicle together.

Horton said Tuesday that police are still searching for the two suspects and ask anyone with information about the incident to contact the Vallejo Police Department Investigations Division.

Detectives are still working on tracking down suspects in several other recent shootings. Horton said police are working on leads on who is responsible for shooting a 13-year-old girl on June 24 as she walked on Columbus Parkway with two friends.
Vallejo police are looking for three white males believed to have been responsible for firing a single bullet that hit the girl in the chest. The suspects were in a red or burgundy truck at the time of the shooting, police said.

Horton said the girl, who was not identified, is recovering and is expected to survive.

No arrests have been made yet in connection with the non-fatal shootings of two teenagers outside a Georgia Street party on June 22, police said.

Detectives are also searching for whoever shot and killed 19-year-old Charles Chandler II, the city's fifth homicide victim this year, at Marina Vista apartments on June 19.

On Friday, another young man, 22-year-old Ronnell Rucks, was fatally shot at the same apartment complex. The following day, Vallejo police arrested two men and a woman in connection with Rucks' death.
