Man jumps to death from Stratosphere tower

Police say a man jumped to his death Sunday afternoon from the observation and ride level of the 1,100 foot tall Stratosphere Tower.
Police say the man jumped around 3:30 in the afternoon and fell through a roof of a structure just south of the tower, smashing some sprinkler pipes. No one was in the area where he landed.
Fire department crews are on the scene trying to retrieve the body. Police had no information about the man's identity and were interviewing witnesses.
