Does anybody on the Siccness think that J.Stalin and his Livewire niggas could ever appeal to a national audience? These niggas seem like they the future of Bay Area rap on the real as a label they making hella noise out here. Beeda, Shady, Philthy, Blood, Rue, Stevie Joe, Jonah etc....The camp is versatile too. They rap about that thug shit yea, but they got club songs, hyphy shit, mobb shit. Them niggas do it all. I'm wondering how the rest of the hiphop world would take to the Livewire Gang if they branched out from the Bay.

i honestly don think any of them have a great chance with "mainstream" appeal

but they could get big in the underground outside of he bay

they are too good at making actual songs and writing meaningful lyrics to be mainstream

Shakes my head at this post. Do you understand that the very reason why most Bay Area artist won't appeal to the mainstream is because they lack the ability to make actual quality SONGS? Why is it that you think mainstream automatically equals gimmick, no substance or corny? Don't let the soulja boys and bow wows cloud yo vision because there's plenty of mainstream artist making meaningful quality music with substance.

I think you have a point there. BUT, and it's a big BUT, people are concerned about the quality in music. Since the quality in hip hop has declined in some eyes, it's pointing to the whole "Hip Hop is Dead" mantra. It seems like it cause there's a lot of bullshit albums out.

Back to the original post.

J.Stalin>Beeda Weeda

Rest of the Livewire group, drop em unless you just want that Bay Area notoriety. A good example of a song that will make it bigtime if they push it is "Try Again Tomorrow" off Gas Nation. A good example of a song that is a good filler song for a NATIONWIDE album is "Self Destruction". Great lyrics, and his chorus is catchy without singing. His flow in this song is how he needs to sound for that commercial appeal. This is when I have my "Nationwide Commercial" helmet on.

J. Stalin will make it if he gets out of the 100% Bay Mode, and keep it 100% quality music. What that means, is stay away from gimmicks and keep the quality up. Lyrics, high production values, mastering, promotions. Basically the formula that Clyde Carson needs to blow up. Where Clyde now? NO WHERE. A good example of not following the formula. Why? He's missing the promo part.
