Mac OS users..

I'm a PC user...and I'm having issues with a Mac ...

alright every time i download a zip file to the mac, the mac extracts it automatically and turns it into a folder.

What I'm trying to do is keep the zip file once its downloaded like I do on a PC..

is there some sort of setting that will just let me download the zip file without the mac extracting it for me?

you can always turn the folder back into a zip file by right clicking and choosing to compress

your zips shouldn't be deleting automatically, if they are then it is either a preference in the browser or whatever it is that you're downloading the zip from
