What makes a man REAL? 2Pac was the way he was before Death Row...pretty much after Juice came out, 2Pac dove into the person we came to grow with. Did he say FUCK THE POLICE? YES! Did he SHOOT 2 cops? YES! Did he assault people he had a problem with? YES! Did he admit his soft side? YES! Did he acknowledge his ENTIRE past? Absolutely. He repped the West so hard because this is where he became who he was. The Bay made him, as he admitted on multiple occasions.
He moved out here when he was 17...and I don't give a fuck WHO says WHAT, but no man becomes the man he is going to be the rest of his life until way later. 2Pac died at 25, so he was probably STILL figuring out who he was as a MAN! PERIOD! That would explain all the contradictions in his lyrics...it's all part of growing. I'm 26 years old, and when each year passes, I'm always figuring out some new shit about myself.
Fact of the matter is, he was true to himself. As long as a man is being what he absolutely believes he is, there's nothing FAKE about that man. Remember, he accomplished more in less than a decade than most people accomplish in a lifetime. He came to Cali at 17, he died at 25...and he didn't blow up when he first got here. So, just imagine making those movies, and all those records in less than ONE DECADE. Actually, let me do you one better. Imagine making MOST OF THE UNRELEASED RECORDS in the last 9 months of your life....'cause that's how long he was with Death Row.
Nobody can take anything away from Pac, even if he did study Ballet.
