You're missing the point. Explain to us (without sounding like an idiot) why why ballet is inherently "not real", "gay", "unmanly", "bad", or in any way "negative"...
I'm more then sure he wasn't forced to take ballet. He chose to take that course. I'm not gonna call him gay cuz of it cuz a lot of professional football players have took it to help with there footing. I've never heard of any story about Pac playing any sports but he might of took it just to get under some hoes cuz those classes are full of them. Who knows.

But I don't get why cats up here acting like that ballet shit was something masculine when its not.

And its true. If it was 50, Wayne or any nigga people love to hate niggas would be shitting all over them.

Good points.

No so good points. The whole point of the exercise is to show that ballet is neither masculine nor non-masculine. It is what it is. It may not be your thing per se but it don't make a nigga not real or gay cause he chooses to dance. For example: Answer me these questions and I'll make my point even clearer. Who is the hardest nigga you can think of? What would you say if you saw him on stage doin' the riverdance? Would that make it any realer to you? I await your reply....

Lets hear it.

You know damn well you are only saying that becuase it was 2Pac, so he gets a "pass".

If it were Lil Wayne that took ballet lessons, then people would say "i knew he was a fag, all that kissing, and now it comes out that he is a ballet dancer".

Its called DENIAL..and when something negative happens to a person you hold in high regard, you REJECT it first.

Because ballet is a form of dance, and not the cool kind where someone "gets served (which sounds pretty gay in itself, but thats another topic)".

I dont think its gay, because i dont always follow "society's" standards...but thats why ballet dancing and gay go hand in hand. Its not an individual thought, its a corralation thought up by a group of people that carried into a exclusive thought.

First, "being real" has to have substantial outlines so we know what to base it on.

If i saw "the hardest dude (again, what does even mean?)" on a stage doin a riverdance, i would probably laugh my ass off, cus its a funny lookin dance, no matter WHO is doing it.

You pretty much made my point for me...

Would it make it any less funny if you knew this? (I got this from a quick google of the subject)....

In 1999 Michael Flatley lead dancer of the "Riverdance" troupe was recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the highest paid dancer in the world earning $1,600,000 per week and for having the highest insurance premium placed on a dancer's legs at $40,000,000.

in 2000 Michael was again acknowledged as the highest paid dancer by the Guinness Book of World Records...

And that was back when brad was BREAD! Now I dont know about the rest of you but if a nigga came to me and offered me 1.6 mil a week to do the riverdance then my new screenname would be "70savwhoriverdancesallthewaytothemuthafuckinbank!" ...

Of course, but you have to let go of an obvective view of a subjective image, and have your OWN view of the situation. For most people, that is hard to do. As a culture, we have matched up certain objects with certain groups of people, it helps us "identitfy" and to "group" people.

No, it doesnt. I think its awesome that dude is gettin breaded up, but that doesnt make the actuality of the dance not hilariously goofy...because it is! Would i do it for 1.6 mil? Damn skippy.

Its all about not giving a shit about labels people put on you and what they think about you, and just living your LIFE.

My point in a nutshell. Thats why I respected Pac he peeked beneath the surface. Didn't agree with his point of view alot of the time, but at least he was logical with his reasoning and he stood up for his beliefs even if it went against the grain.

P.S. By the way I think the shit looks funny too but i wouldn't pass up the opportunity nor the bread. In fact I'd do it for much less.

And so..... I apologize for the threadjack. Glad at least two of us could come to a consensus. Mac Minister said it best.... theres only two thing a nigga cant get back from in this game and thats snitchin' and bein' gay... It's up to yall to decide just what snitchin' really is or ain't, and what bein' gay is or aint. Just try to be logical in your reasoning is all I ask.... I'm out

Seriously though, It sounds to me like you got more beef wit Pac's mamma than you do with him.
i dont got "beef" with anyone i dont know personally...like i said i think tupac is one of the greatest.....just because i do doesnt mean i got to believe all the lies hes said in his rap...all rappers do that and some people dont reliaze it and think pac is some sort of human god that was the best thing to walk this earth.....i choose to stay away from that because i seriuosly couldnt give more then 2 fucks about ANY rapper....they aint my homies...they aint fam so why am i going to treat em like that?

smh @ a thread about mac minister turning into a discussion about ballet

what am i reading here? what in the fuckin fuck am i reading here?

::
I feel you homie but one person made a comment about Pac & a half a dozen niggaz wnt off defending Pac. stressing their points about how real he was. as deep as pac was he did'nt come off as a legitimate street nigga. Even his closest peoples testified that he was'nt no real street nigga.

Pac referred to himself as a thug. A thug almost a nobody in the criminal underworld so I'm not seeing why people tend to glorify that shit. In the mafia a thug is @ the bottom of the barrel.
