IMHO, the closest thing to a dope, recent Mac Dre CD that you don't have to make excuses for is TURF BUCANEERS. I thought that was a real fun CD that could be enjoyed sober or drunk/high or when you're cruising. But, then again, when MD's best recent CD is one where PSD, Dubee and others did much of the rapping, what does that tell you?
To me, TURF BUCANEERS is like the party itself--everyone's drinking, high, socializing, checking out the chicks, etc. ("Plain 2 See", the last track, sounds like a "party's over" song to me). But the solo CDs he's done since (IT'S NOT WHAT YOU SAY, MAC DAMNIT MAN & FRIENDS, THIZELLE WASHINGTON) are like the hangover, when you feel like shit from the night before. And for MD, that ain't cool. PEACE!

I disagree wit ya playa on that one. Khayree still one of the hardest producers in the bay right now. If Khayree was doin his thang wit MD and all them other crest siders he would be doin thangs like Ric Roc been doin wit 40. Khayree and MD got beef that's keepin both of them from makin big moves. From that Young Lay remix album I know muthafuckas wouldn't mind some new Mac Dre and Khayree slap.

Like a lot of you said, i think the drugs just got to him. He can still write some good stuff, but his delivery has weakened, probably due to psychological problems. He doesn't necesarily have to hook up with khayree again to be successful, he just needs to drop alittle cash and get better production than what he is doing now. Just my opinion.
