SNOW PLOWED: The Dolphins and Patriots had played to a scoreless tie for nearly 55 minutes on December 12, 1982. On a snow-covered Foxboro Stadium turf, the Patriots were lining up for a 33-yard field goal attempt when work release parole Mark Henderson drove onto the field with a snow plow, clearing the spot where the ball would be placed. John Smith’s field goal split the uprights and the Patriots held on for a 3-0 victory.

Charles Woodson blitzed off of right end hitting Quarterback Tom Brady as Brady was "pulling the football into his body" (thus the loophole) after deciding not to throw the ball downfield and after checking the ball with his left hand. The play by Woodson is what legends are made from as it caused Brady to fumble the ball where the Raiders promptly fell on it securing a hard fought playoff win on the road and in the snow
