Their NFL Player Production rate is the best in the country. As of 2006, they've got 40.22 NFL players per 1 million males coming out of that state, by far #1. Texas is around 20, California down around 16. It is my opinion that these numbers strongly suggest that the best HS football in America is played in Louisiana.

And yeah my definition is very narrow, so professional football and even college football doesn't really impact my view. But yeah, LSU's dominance last night was evidence of this, they have a very strong in-state recruiting base, a must for any real threat at a national championship.
