I was hoping someone could help me with this.. and I'm hoping this isnt the dumbest question on the planet .. BUT..

My sons are now at the age where they need to use my computer a lot for homework... ages 12 and 14.. wellllll.. as some of you can guess there are certain pictures/files/movies, etc that I wouldnt want them to be able to get to.. is there a way to make a certain folder password protected .. or a way to hide it..?

.. any help would be much appreciated.. :eek:

you need to have a password for your computer
Then just make a folder and open it.
left click properties
click the sharing tab
check the box that says private.
What happens after that I know not.

shit, then they're just gonna make their own folders that YOU can't see.

fuck, if 1 of them's 14, he's gonna be using the computer for the same purpose. ahahaha

just hide a folder deep into your system folders, where they'd never know to look, and just rename the folder and files to something they can't search for. but i still think you're wasting your time....lol
