First Off:
i have only listened to this 2 times, so maybe it needs more time to grow on me. i am a fan of Ric's shit tho.
Scale:
8.0-10.0: Tightest Tracks on the Album
7.0-7.9: Cool Track
6.0-6.9: Tight, but something is missing (tight hook, beat, verse etc.)
4.0-5.9: Not feelin it, but not necessarily skippin it.
Below 4.0: Weak, skit this.
1. Intro (King George)
Produced By: Traxx aka Beat Machine
-stupid intro, but who cares, im not rating it anyways.
2. R-I-C
Produced By: Tha Dotrix
-this track is a cool intro, Ric's by himself on this, beat is pretty tight, not the tightest on the CD tho. Ric spits some tight shit on this one. overall tho, i have heard a lot of tighter songs.
7.5/10
3. Mob Vets ft. B-Legit
Produced By: Toi Shop
-beat is kinda on that futuristic tip almost, pretty tight tho. B-Legit is aight, nothin special, Ric aint all that either.
6.5/10
4. The Thug Nut ft. Jacka and Hustalah
Produced By: Traxx aka Beat Machine
-this shit is tight. Ric comes first with a cool ass verse, then The Jacka spits. Jacka's shit isnt recycled, which i was stoked about cuz you kno how the mob likes to recycle. Hustalah comes equally heated on this one. only bad part is the hook is pretty weak. all it says is Thug Nut.
8.5/10
5. Real Shit ft. Lil Bro (D-Ski)
Produced By: Toi Shop
-beat is kinda cool, nothin special. Ric is tight on this one. Hook is hella weak on this one. Lil Bro is pretty coo. overall im not feeling this, but im not necessarily skippin it either.
5.0/10
6. (I) ft. Laroo and Oak-Raida
Produced By: DJ Daryl
-this beat is tight as fuck. Lil Ric starts it off and he spits tight. Both Laroo and Oak-Raida im feelin to the fullest, real cool experiances. Shit you can just mob too on this track. hook is hella funny "my niggaz move weight like fat bitches catchin cabs".. the end got me rollin. its some prank call they did or some shit. they call some funeral home or somethin askin about a funeral by smith, the guy is like 'yes, we cremated miss smith last month.' and the guys is like OHHHHH LAWWWWDDDDD fake crying.. shit is hella funny. (the prank call is the interlude.. but it doesnt have a separate song number for it.)
9.0/10
7. Seen My Nigga Die ft. Black C
Produced By: Traxx aka Beat Machine
-another Traxx beat, i wasnt really feeling his other ones up until this point but this one is pretty cool. Ric spits one of his best verses on here.. just about ppl diein. Black C is hella tight on this one.. "January 1st, 96/ lost my homie Mr. Cee on some hatin shit.." Woulda got 8.5 if Black C's verse wasnt so short.
8.0/10
8. I'm Jussay-n-Tho ft. Mac Dre and Keak Da Sneak
Produced By: Traxx aka Beat Machine
-i dont kno who, but some1 starts out with some small verse. Beat is pretty cool, not my fav. on the CD tho. Lil Ric spits first and he's tight, not his best verse either. Mac Dre comes sick on this one, and i don't even really feel Dre anymore, but he's tight on this. I don't feel Keak, and this is no exception. I think he's annoying. Without Keak this would get 7.5.. with him it gets..
7.0/10
9. Street G Tales ft. Too Short
Produced By: Lil Ric
-i was worrying if Ric could produce at all, and truthfully, the beat is sorta weak. Luckilly, Ric spits hard on this. i cant believe it says ft. Too Short, cuz he talks for about 20 secs before Ric's 3rd verse. shoulda been a Ric solo in my opinion.
6.0/10
10. Tha Slumz
Produced By: Tone Capone
-this beat is mob shit, cool ass Tone Capone track. Ric spits tight on this, its one of his few solo's. Ric's 2nd verse is hard as fuck. Real tight track.
8.5/10
11. Gangstah ft. Harm, Ridah of the Mob Figaz
Produced By: Tone Capone
-another dope ass beat. Ridah starts off, and he comes hard as fuck like always, this dude need a solo. Ric comes next, pretty coo. Then Harm, i dont feel harm to the fullest, but he's pretty cool on this. each of them spit 2 short verses. Ridah shines on this. 'nother knocker.
8.0/10
12. Penetrate ft. Laroo and Filthy Phil
Produced By: Traxx aka Beat Machine
-this is a pretty tight beat by Traxx, his best so far. Ric spits first, he's tight. his delivery almost reminds me of Mac Dre at times, the way he changes the intensity of his voice. im really startin to feel this album by this time (my 2nd listen after 1 just throwin it on and kinda skippin thru the tracks.) Filthy Phil is pretty dope actually. Laroo is cool too. yet another knocker. At the end is some Parkin Lot Pimp interlude, kinda stupid.
8.0/10
13. It's on Me
Produced By: 1 Drop Scott
-1 Drop Scott comes with a tight ass beat on this one. Slower paced, shit to chill to. Ric is tight as fuck again, he seems way sicker on his own then with appearances. on the credits for the song it says "Inspired by Tupac Shakur R.I.P".. its not a tribute song tho, or anytihng. it says his name in it one time. Either way, this shit is cool.
7.5/10
14. Irresistable ft. Messy Marv
Produced By: Ant Banks
-i was stoked when i saw Ant produced this shit.. i was hopin it'd be a knocker, and it is. brings it back to the old school sound that Banks has, kinda mixed up with some 2k2 shit, im diggin it. Ric starts it off, he's tight, Messy is cool on this. songs about fuckin, some bitch on the hook.
7.0/10
15. Silly The Slut ft. Too Short and Grope
Produced By: Traxx aka Beat Machine
-beat is hard. this is the only Traxx beat i think is hard as fuck. Ric spits first, he's cool on this verse. Too Short actually raps on this, and he's sick as fuck. definatly the best on this track, spittin some of that Too Short pimp shit. Grope is pretty tight too.
7.5/10
16. Wigglin
Produced By: Tone Capone
-the beat on this is kinda weak in my opinion. not feelin this one, ric's verses are cool, but dont sound good with the beat. im skippin this shit every time probably.
4.0/10
17. Playaz Coach ft. Ephriam Galloway
Produced By: Michael (Spice) Bell
-beat is pretty cool on this shit. Both dudes spit pretty cool on this, i don kno who this Ephriam fool is, but he's all over the credits as the dude who recorded it. pretty much a filler track.
6.5/10
18. Outta Control ft. Tommy, Donny Dun'em
Produced By: Kenny Tweed
-the beat on this is fuckin annoying. i was hopin this shit would end up with some of that shit that pumps you up to restart the album. it doesnt, shit is weak. skip it!
3.0/10
Final Thoughts:
i got this shit used for 10 bucks, best 10 bucks i have spent in awhile. I kno i have some song low ranks, but overall this shit knocks. beats are cool, with some top name producers on this. but i'd say the weakest thing about this album is the beats, which for the most part are good. Ric got heat, and im not the kinda person who says someone has heat if they dont, like a lot of people on here. shit, new Ridah, Keak, Jacka, Too Short, Black C verses.. what more could you want?
pick this shit up yall.
Overall Rank: 7.5/10 (points off for some wack beats/songs)
Scale:
9.5-10: Classic
7.5-9.4: Pick this shit up!
5.0-7.4: Cool release, lacks on some aspects.
3.0-4.9: Weak..
Below 3.0: even if this shit if free, don't swoop it.
