contrary to popular belief, not everyone has the internets.
a lot of music is not available because the death of the big record stores.
mixtapes are so cheap to make, if you sold one for $1 youd still come out on top cuz its like .20 cents per to make a mixtape. cover and all.
and im talkin from my standpoint as a nobody dj in a city thats lukewarm towards mixtapes..
so i know these niggas are killin it cuz they got a machine behind them and they can get em out quick..A LOT of em..
so that $5 per sale starts to stack up quick.

please believe niggas is still in the streets, still hand to handin the mixtapes..
and people on the internets still buy mixtapes from artists they follow.
people in the south and on the east coast buy mixtapes like we buy blunts.
its nothing to cop some new shit.
spots like cdbaby, etc... europe still on it heavy.

out here its a fuckin debate and all that bullshit
"im sick of mixtapes" "i want compilations" "dont use my song if you using his song on it" etc..
