It's very noticable when you get into complex areas of music. Try comparing a 320 version of the end of Do Sum'n to a 192 version. I first noticed with the ending to 7 days.
i've never downloaded anything above 192kbps. it takes a lot of trying to notice any differences between 192 and 320 and even then it's only in the "crispness" of the higher frequencies...cymbals, hi-hats etc with frequencies above 14khz or so. if you're short on drive space, the the extra 3-4MB that ripping an mp3 at 320kbps will take up may not be worth what you will get in return.

now...the difference between 128 and 192...that's when it starts to get really noticable.

which is why it kills me when I get hooked up with rare Tech stuff by people who encode DOWNWARD from 192 to 128. (what up V? yes, I'm still grateful I'm just sayin... :knockout:)

I now have almost no music on my computer now so space is not an issue. The truth is, it seems like I noticed a cleaner sound as opposed to the almost static-ky 192. It may be that I am primed to notice any change, existent or otherwise. I do feel more confortable with a 320 though, so if possible, I'll take a 320.

your an idiot and get off of websites and limewire shit . the "scene" lamers have been encoding to 128 for a while now . if its done right with EAC the difference between 128 and 192 is NOT noticeable cause it sounds the damn same. just fyi i used to be ignorant like yourself when i started downloading shit but some of us go on to better things than well what shitty things and areas u use lol
