here is a detail of what i be doin during my workout

i alternate between dumbells and cables every other week

back: deadlift (35s on each side of bar x10 then 2 10 sets wit 45s on each side of bar), pulldown (120lbs 10x3), rows (90 lbs x10, 100 lbs x10, 110 lbs x10), i forgot the names of the other shit i be doin...but i cant do more than one pullup!!!

chest: (regular bench 135lbs x12, 155x10, 175x8...i can max rep 135 lbs at 23 and my max is 225 lbs, incline bench 115 lbs x10, 2 135lbs x10, decline bench 135 x 10 3 sets, cable fly's 3 sets of 15 at around 25-30 lbs, and machine butterfly 90lbs x 10, 100 lbs x 10, 110 x 10) i alternate with dumbells for chest every two weeks

i do abs every other workout day

i barely do cardio (once a weekbecause i heard it kills the growth of mucles but i feel i may be gettin too big ya feel? so i'm askin cats that be workin out what u recommend...lower the weights i've been doin and do higher reps w/ lower weight...more cardio? follow a certain diet?

Thats a pretty good routine to workout wit mayne, although u should be doin cardio, its what should get you warmed up for your workout, just a suggestion though...

I used to lift weights back in high school cause they had a fat ass weight room... now that i lost all that strength and beefyness i'm doing military style work outs... i'm tall and skinny so it's hard for me to gain strength and size unless i have hella good equipment and i'm broke and don't have the time to lift an hour a day 5 days a week.... what i do is like this

1 day i do as many push ups every chance i get.. probably totals to like 400 a day. half the time i do regular pushups, 1/4 of the time i do diamond push ups to target triceps, and the other 1/4ish of the time i do wide handed pushups usually on an incline to target pecs

next day i do as many pull ups as i get the chance... i got a bar inside my house hung up for it, i do like 50 in the morning and 50 at night... and if i take the bus and there's not hella people around i'll be doing pull ups and chin ups on the glass bus stop thing haha ghetto work out.

the day after that i just take an hour out of my day to do hella cardio. start out with shitloads of stretching after warm ups... run a couple miles... there's a ledge near my house about 4 1/2 feet high... what i do is hop up from the ground onto it over and over until i can't anymore... then take a minute or two break.. then do it over again only on one leg. that shit kills but you'll have strong ass legs and shit.

then i repeat the 3 day cycle over again and take 1 day after that to rest and start over again the day after that.

I've gained a little bit of size but that's not my goal. Overall, i bet my bench press maximum and shit hasn't gone up a whole lot... but i learned in my weight lifting days that strength doesn't mean shit in a fight under most circumstances. so i switched to more endurance type shit because it's way better for practical strength in boxing or even wrestling... i used to box all the time when i was hella stronger, but i noticed i'd get tired real easily, and all my friends who lift weights are the same way... but since i do calisthetics like push ups and shit my muscles have way more endurance and overalll i have more stamina.. so maybe you could hit me hella harder your first few punches, but you'd be all tired out after that and i'd be slamming away at you until you went down and i'm a lot quicker now too... so if that didn't work at least i could run away really fast lol.

btw make sure you warm up and stretch before a work out and stretch afterwards as well... i can't begin to explain how vital that shit is no matter what kind of physical activity you're doing.

oh gea i left out abs... this is the only thing i use weights for on a normal basis... sometimes i'll hit the gym w/ a friend and do some strength shit but i really don't feel it's useful for anything other than looks. but yeah, weighted crunches because abs are something that do need a lot of strength in comparison to the rest of the body, and i forget what they're called but they're like situps but you twist to one side to work your obliques (muscles on the side of your abs... aka love handles)...

btw even though i do all that endurance shit i haven't lost any weight, in fact i've gained some... i got a real fast metabolism so i'm skinny as hell naturally, but all the work causes my metabolism to process food more normally and plus i get a lot hungrier so i eat more.

yea a lot of weight lifters i know don't want to run, because they're afraid it will decrease their size... but really like i said above it helps your metabolism process food better so you'll actually notice that you'll gain weight if you're eating towards that goal.

you can make lifting weights cardio just by upping the sets and doing more than one bodie part, make your work outs like for 1 and half to two hours and go in there and don't say a word just throw as much iron around as you can before the two hours end. stay wit it you could bust on anybody

to be honest, cardio is more important than people give it credit for. you get in shape by allowing yourself to breathe. making yourself need to take deep breaths in repition feeds your system..

after i hit the weights i walk on my tread mill for 30 minutes. cardio circulates the blood and gets oxygen to the muscles that you just worked on. so i walk after to avoid soreness.

good luck

yea cardio is good... like i said before, unless you're just doing it for looks, calisthetics is the way to go in terms of being healthy and also practical strength for fighting or whatever. who cares if you can lift 300 pounds once.... just cause you can don't mean you can lift 70 lbs 30 times say if you had to help somebody carry hella shit if they moving in or something. or if you get in a fight sure you can punch harder, but your muscles aren't used to being worked repeatedly for long periods of time... so you'd run out of energy and all that strength would be useless because your muscles would be exhausted way too easily, adrenaline or not.
