He came off a broken leg, so the Raiders werent trying to throw him in there right away. He was put as the 3rd string RB and fullback. When Fargas and Darren went down, he HAD to step in....and he did.
See, your problem is that youre not seeing this argument LOGICALLY. All you are doing is going off STATS (and a SKEWED one at that), and nothing else. Sure, LenDale DID have 15 TD's this year...but what else? His YPC was sub-par, he doesnt knock anyone over when he runs, and he aint fast...nor does he have the cuts. He also had his best games against some of the WORST teams in the NFL, including the Lions and the Chiefs (both of which he passed 100 yds..the only two times this year)...what does that say? Against Green Bay, he had 77 yards on 9 carries...but 54 of those yards came on ONE carry. That means he had 8 carries for 23 yards...thats good for LESS than 3 YPC. Homie, that is NOT good any way you slice it.
Look, you take away the 15 TD's and replace it with 5, what do you have? A backup RB that averages 3.9 YPC and really, well, nothing much else. LenDale has been a "bust" so far in his NFL career (even though he was a 2nd rounder), just like MANY other offensive Trojans have been the last decade...no surprise there.
Youre right, opinions are opinions...but facts are also facts. THe fact is LenDale White is not "good" by any measure of the word. Scoring TD's inside the five yard line is NOT hard to do, as long as you have a descent line. And thats all he did. He did not have a TD run longer than 12 yards...and that was only ONCE.
