I know this seems a bit redundent but i figured we should be direct about it instead of having opinions spread throughout different threads.

So here it is, the official debate thread.
Who, if anybody, do you agree with, empathise with, and/or generally support? Why? Try to support your argument if possible.

Let the debate begin.

first and foremost i feel for the people of lebannon...
why:There only crime is supposedly not fighting an organization who brought them buisness by renting out places and contributing to their economy.. but how could they without a good military??...

2ndly, i feel for hezbollah
why: They are being used as a proxy army for iran.. although im not saying they dont have a good reason to fight, because israel has been invading for years now... i cant condone them aiming for civilian targets..

3rd.. i feel bad for the israeli civilians..
why: they live in israel and are being targeted for supporting their governments dirty deeds.

Lebanon of course.

You hear a lot on the media that Hezbollah is an isolated group and not necessarily supported by the people but there was a recent poll that showed 87% of the Lebanese support them*. Even the non-Shiite communities overwhelmingly support them- 80% of the Christian Lebanese and 89 percent of Sunnis.

TROLL I wouldn’t say they are used as a proxy army for Iran. Sure they receive funding from Iran but remember that they were set up for the sole purpose of defending Lebanon from the Israeli invasion. They also do all the things the government should be doing - they build hospitals, schools, dump garbage for communities, and tons of other social services*.

And unlike the Israeli army, they have killed mostly Israeli soldiers, not civilians.

Neither. I support peace..

My problem is that our media and many people in our country blindly support Israel because they are seen as a democratic country defending themselves against terrorists when clearly that isn't accurate..

They are not morally superior in this and I will argue against that portrayal of them..

I think anyone regardless who they have ties with has a right to defend their country IN their own country, so calling the resistance fighters in Lebanon 'Terrorists' is a disgrace. The media needs to fucking die and a new world media that is unbiased needs to be born.

I support the TRUE Israeli/HEBREW people. I do NOT support white europeans who have no blood lineage to the HEBREW patriarchs (ARABS/SEMITES) such as Jacob, Isaac and Abraham, and claim to be "jews."

On the surface, I believe the actions done by Israel are wrong, but I believe these things are happening to fulfil prophecy and to ultimately HUMBLE Israel and lead to the utter destruction of the united states of america.

^^I was gonna be more specific with it, i was also gonna include a third option, but i figured thats what their labeling it so i might as well just leave it at that. its pretty obvious who both sides really are and are affiliated with. if anybody doesnt know at least that much they shouldnt be debating about it.

I dont support either country. I think it was Stealth who said "They're both idiots."

I believe Israel as a state has the right to exist and have peace on their borders. I believe Lebanon as a state has the right to exist and have peace on their borders. I believe their should be a 2 state solution and the Palestinians should have control over the West Bank and Gaza. I believe that since Jerusalem is always such a stumbling block in Palestinian negotiations and of extreme importance to Christian, Jewish and Islamic religions it should be designated an international city.

I believe Israel brings some of the violence they face on themselves, but also have historically faced threats from neighboring countries and quite possibly face the dismantlement of their state if they lose a conflict. I believe as long as there are militias on the borders of Israel who refuse to acknowledge Israel's existance and recieve funding from countries who want Israel eradicated there will not be peace.

Well if you're referring to Hezbollah they would not exist if it were not for Israeli aggression. Not only were they created for the sole purpose of defending Lebanon, they have attempted many peace talks with Israel and would have unarmed themselves in 2000.

Indeed, several months prior to Israel's withdrawal from South Lebanon in May 2000, [Hezbollah leader Hasan] Nasrallah publicly announced, in a leading Arab magazine, that if Syria struck a deal with Israel which ensured a full Israeli withdrawal from all Lebanese territory, "Hizbullah would relocate in the South, but [would] not have any form of security force, since it is a resistance movement whose goal is the liberation of land and not an alternative to the government." In a subsequent interview, Nasrallah added, "We are convinced that the signing of a peace agreement will be a victory for the resistance and the rationale of resistance."

Of course, his comments in support of the Syrian-Lebanese-Israeli peace process that was to reach its climax in Geneva in March 2000, represented a pragmatic reading of domestic and regional power dynamics. Amid a general air of accommodation created by Mohammed Khatami's 1997 presidential win in Iran, the Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Ayatollah Mohajerani had proclaimed in 1998 that, "if Israel withdraws from South Lebanon with guarantees for fixed and secure borders, there will be no further need for Hizbullah's resistance operation there." In an even more definitive statement in June 1999, Syria's ambassador to Washington, Walid al-Muoalim, made it clear that "Hizbullah's [leadership] understands that every agreement accepted by Syria, Israel, and Lebanon will obligate it as well."

SOURCE

In addition, The Arab League has repeatedly made offers to Israel of full normalization of relationship in return for a withdrawal to the 1967 borders.

I dont disagree with anything you posted. There have been a number of agreements of which both Israel/Palestine or Israel/Lebanon have not followed through. Like I said, Israel puts a lot of the violence on themselves through their action and as long as militias exist in Lebanon and the West Bank/Gaza there will not be peace.

Well it seems the whole world is Against Irael, every Arab Nation, many Russians, many Eurpoean countries, and American States. I'm a Gentile Cause I have a say in this, It's more of a Christian Perspective because if Israel was never meant to be why did they become a nation in the 1940s it was a sign that Christ would come back, AND GIVE THE LAND BACK TO THE HEBREWS, as for the European hebrews compared to the Full Blooded hebrews, it's still the same Blood Line, straight from Isaac. If I had to choose a side between the World or Israel, I'd Join Israel, and Take on the Whole World. I remember a wise Preacher who said, Every Nation is Appointed a Strong Angel and an angel with tremendous Power, But Israel has the True Strong, Notice I didn't say Strongest cause when I say Strong it means he's the Only 1, That's God himself, he watches Israel, in the Past he's allowed Israel to lose because they turned their back on him, but even though he has not abandoned them. You might as well hate on Ethiopia as well, Those are more Hebrewish kind of People then the ones who are European Jews.

Scythians-->Khazars = AngloJews/Hebrews/Semites

Also, what about an Israli Jew who’s grandparents on one side are from Tunisa
& Turkey and the other side is Poland & Russia

Or how about Ethiopia & Morroco on one side & Italy & France on the other, you see how ‘cross breeding’ throughout the centuries due to the diaspora have created Euro-White Jews

Also, ever heard of the Book of Ruth?---- amen my man Sammy Davis…
