ya believe it or not some people can actually live comfortable and raise a family off rap!!! shit if u do a verse or two that might cover groceries for for a couple months! blaming an artist for charging other independent artists is like telling everyone in the hood to stop selling dope to their people. everybody is struggling but rap is a hustle too! a quick little analogy for the slowpokes.
I know for a fact that rap can provide eat money because I see it all the time and I've been in the game since YBG for you slowpokes. Believe me I was in the dope game too and it's not the same man. You didn't sell dope to your homie if he was smoking it, that shit is not in the code. Rap is a hustle but aren't we a littel tired of hustling our own people ?

ejukated_ent send me the track and I'll breathe on it for you. I can't guarantee you any Bay Area sales but shit Quinn can't guarantee you any sales in Texas.

Game recognize game Kenny. Making these kids spend $1400 for a 16 bar verse or hook is highway robbery unless it was for a verse from a mjor artist that can guarantee you national sales figures. Name me one artist that bubbled off a Quinn appearance on their album that would not have taken off regardless.

Love dont pay rent!! If something has a value it should be sold!!
who says a verse from anybody besides Jay Z or somebody of that calibre has a value ? Don't get me wrong because I'm a Bay Area veteran until I die but this crab-in-the-barrel behavior has to stop.

I feel you on the crab-in-the-barrel analogy. Me personally I dont really buy verses from rappers. The only reason (for the most part) I would put somebody on my project is for a change of pace, change of voice. However I can understand if someone wants to charge for a verse if there is a demand for it.

y'all shouldnt be gettin mad that they chargin for verses, if you want one out of love, you gotta earn that shit..., you think an established artist is going to do a verse for somebody he aint never met or barely knows?? and for the ones that don't bubble off a quinn verse, most the time, the artist on the track wit em cant keep up and just fucks the song up, or the production is ass. you cant expect a feature to make a song, or by the way it looks in this thread, your album. u want him to do somethin for you nation wide?, before that ask yourself what can you do for yourself nation wide. even if you were to go out and get jay z on your shit, your still gone be independent, have to push the shit yourself , and pay him to do the shit for you. eiter way with any artist, business is business. if quinn or ya boy charged as much as someone like jay z would, then u got yourself an arguement, but they aint. i dont mean to talk shit to no one, cuz i used to feel the same way bout buyin verses, but once u in it and start sellin your own shit and makin money off it you'll see why they charge what they charge, and what it can realy do for you.

o and since we on the subject, any one need beats, holla at me!!! u want a resume ill send you one, holla pz
