Anyone did it or thought about doing it? I always wanted it done since I can't see shit w/o my glasses. Anyway I started seeing this tv commercial pop up about lasik eye surgery for $499 per eye. That's a pretty good deal, check it out at elliseye.com Lemme know what y'all think of it.

My girlfriend got it last november, she can see 20/20 now and her eyes were really bad. I have glasses to but if i ever decide to do it, it won't be for a long time. Go for it but make sure it's a good doctor.

I've known a lot about it since it first started appearing about a decade ago (when it cost $5000 total and the fuckup rate was like 5 out of 100, lol). Only because my eyesight is 20/300 or so (yea im serious)... i cant read the big "E" on top line of the doctor eye test without my contacts, hahah. They also said if I got caught driving without my contacts in I could possibly be put in jail... I couldnt tell if the lady was kidding or not but i dont think she was, loool....

Anyway, laser is getting cheaper because better methods than laser are coming out now. I'd wait a few years for these methods to become perfect. The current best bet is for them to cut the top of your cornea open and "slip" in a permanent contact-like disc that molds to your eye and eventually becomes part of it. People are receiving 20/15 and even 20/10 vision in some cases. I could never wear glasses cause i get annoyed at 'em so im paying a shit load for these contacts i got, but i would love to switch out of them and get my eyes done as well. I'm going to wait for 2-3 more years and see what's up with it though.

Cheaptimes

C'mon now...

its fine depending how old you are. My mom got laser surgery when she was 60 and it did nothing for her. she was so mad. it was kind of funny, its all insurance so it didnt cost anything. but they took the gaws off her within like 2 hrs.

I cant see shit without my contacts but laser eye surgery would be nice if my parents paid for it. It would probably wont happen anytime in the future...I'll just stick to contacts

i dunno if its tru or not, but i heard that even with laser eye surgery, u'll still have to get reading glasses later when u get old, whereas if u keep ur contacts, u won't have to (bifocal lenses or whatever). anyone know if this is true?

I know this doode I used to work with went back down to Colombia and got that shit done HELLA cheap. Doctors can practice cheaper cuz they don't gotta worry so much about malpractice suits and shiet but I dunno if I'd wanna go down there just to get surgery yknow.
