Did anyone catch the Larry Bird statement at the half of tonights game? Something about the NBA being a blacc man's sport and needing a white superstar. I thought that shit was kinda hilarious, but I don't think Stern liked it too much. How yall feel about that statment, true or false in your eyes? Was Bird outta poccet for sayin that, what's your thoughts in general?
I feel where he's coming from cause the sport is dominated by blacc males, not to say there's not any white superstars in the NBA cause there's certaintly some. But if you look at a majority of the NBA/streetball commercials they protray the "hip hop" image that's usually associated w/ blaccs. Even at the games, you hear in the stadium rap/"hip hop" music unless it's like "we will rocc you", "hit the road jacc" or some shit like that.
