Both are peat monsters (which i love) but i`d choose the Ardbeg 10 just based on personal preference. Not really a fair comparison since the Laphroaig is much cheaper, isn't it? If you're into Islay's i suggest you try the Lagavulin 16, i drank a bottle on new years and it was phenomenal, peatiest scotch i've had yet and it's just a little more expensive than the Ardbeg. Cheers m8!

I'll have to try that Lagavulin next then....Caol Ila is the first peaty scotch I tried and I fell in love with characteristic of it, thats why the Laphroaig really blew me away...you can taste the burned peat...

I think I will have to try the Ardbeg again, because so far i was disappointed with overall taste, nothing distinct...but everything deserves a second chance.
