Why so much debate between Kobe and Lebron?

They're pretty much 1a and 1b. However, most NBA and sports analysts today concur that Kobe is the best player in the world. And now that he actually has a squad around him he's playing at the highest level of his career.

I'd actually really like to see a Lakers/Cavs finals, although I believe it'd be a sweep in the Lakers' favor.
