I see no such thing about Kutt hitting 66 on the Billboard 200, he did place 60 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums though. He also did well on the Top Heatseekers (19). The Top Heatseekers is for artists who have never charted above 100 on the Top 200, thus Kutt couldn't have placed 66 on the Top 200 and still make the Heatseekers chart.

It sold 1,707 copies in the first week, which is better than both Grave Plott & Skatterman & Snug Brim did in the first week.
heres the EXACT text message i got from Kutt...
Chartd num 66 on da top 200 billboard charts, so dats pretty gud.

He might be mistaken but Im pretty sure he would know.

he was most likely referring to the hip hop charts or some shit...tryna make it sound as good as possible when he put out a quality record that sold 1,700 feel me.

The fact that he charted at all (not that its so hard now a days with current sales) is a great accomplishment. For such an independent label to be able to chart damn near every "big" name on there roster is incredibly rare anymore.

I am just curious, but why all the hate for Word on tha Streets? I know Snug did a bunch of stupid shit by calling out people, and threatening people online (which is gay). But their album is far better than their first, and the majority of the beats, along with content, are damn good! I was just wondering what people don't like about it, that's all.

I can't speak for everybody.. but for me, it was just all around mediocre. Theres not a single track on that album that I'm still bumpin, and it came out what? 2 months ago?

I wasn't even looking for crazy, new innovative concepts on each track or anything...

I just want some clever wordplay, some enthusiam, energy, something. and skat n snug didn't bring it...

As for Kutts album, I really like it. It sucks to see him sell less than 2K, but shit happens, Imma support him

could someone give me a quick summary of "snug threatening people online" or point me in the direction of where i can find it...that sounds humorous

both S&S cds are horrible imo...neither of them bring ANYTHING to the table...boring flow/no energy/no content/no creativity...they have ill beats, good hooks when kaliko does em, and some amazing tech features...the beat/hook/tech verse in "heartbreaker" is CLASSIC

I think numbers 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 13, 18-20 were all top-notch (on Word on tha Streets). The song that probably gets the most play for me are either #2 or #3. Hell, #5 is bangin' too. If you take this album and compare it to their first album, it has improved ten-fold. Kutt's CD is dope, don't get me wrong. Now, if the beats were all "blah" on Word on tha Streets, then yeah, it might not have been as good for me. I favor lyrical content, but if the beat is shitty, I can never make it work. S&S are certainly not the most original cats, but this album was an awesome improvement.

For me.....

Word on tha Streets> Killer> Feature Presentation> Vitiligo (Haven't heard the other two. If Killer had less "skippable" tracks, it would be my top choice.)
