Actually...im not...you said the MVP should go to the BEST player...well...T-Mac,Kobe and LeBron are the ELITE or BEST players in the league...they have THE most skill and can beat ANYONE....so by the LOGIC of the MVP award...there should only be a handful of candidates every year....cus year in and year out...those players are the best...WHEN THEY ARE HEALTHY...

Marion is a great player...hes one of my favorite...but Kobe couild beat him one on one any day...as could T-Mac...as could LeBron....point in case..

Kobe will be the MVP followed by LeBron. I would say Dirk is more valuable to his team than Nash is to his. And there's a reason LeBron overshadows Melo. He's deeper and a better all around player. LeBron can do things that Melo can't. Melo is good but he is nowhere near the MVP. Like Bammer said "melo got a long ass way to go folks....git off that denver shit for a sec,and think logically."

everyones gonna be biased about this though. you gotta realize.. I mean, I watch every single Suns game and I try to catch any other NBA game thats on tnt or espn. and I ALWAYS watch sports center..thats just a given. then I spend the entire morning reading articles at prosportsdaily.com.

but I up the suns players cuz I see them play night in, night out.. I know how talented the players are and who's got the most skill and potential.. just like people in LA are watchin lakers games all the time.
but I like to think I gotta a good grasp on NBA knowledge. and to ME, its a no brainer.. Nash. Without a doubt. he -IS- the most valuable player in the league. is there any other guy in the league (or in nba history for that matter) that gives his surrounding players CAREER years? and Im not just talkin about statistics.. Nash is MAKING nba stars develop. Boris Diaw? Eddie House? Raja Bell? Tim Thomas? Kurt Thomas? Leandro Barbosa? Im not gonna say Shawn Marion cuz he always been a sav. but the rest of those players were nobodies/burn-outs. Now.. they fillin up the stat sheet. and why? Dantoni is a great coach.. but even he'll tell you its Nash.

Lebron's dope.. he'd get my runner up MVP with Chauncey comin in third.
but it doesnt take a genius to understand the meaning of VALUABLE
Kobe scoring 81 points is some showboat shit.. you think that game he was thinking "oh wow, my Lakers team is gonna WIN! THIS is what its all about!" or "oh shit, nigga, Im finna drop 81 points on these lames! the press is gonna be all on my nuts!" ???

^I feel you on how Nash is making his teammates better... but it's his teammates that are making themselves better. Plus it's the system they run. They run a wide open offense... and if you've been watching Phoenix you and I know they've always had good/great shooters. They had Hornacek, Dan Majerle, Long Range Danny Ainge, KJ, etc... The Suns are loaded as we speak.

When Kobe scored 81 points his team was down 18 points. You're making it seem like he planned on scoring 81. He had to do what he had to do to bring his team back and win the game. That's what MVP's do. Plus you're forgetting about Kobe's defense. He always has to guard the opposing teams best player. You have to take that into account too when voting for MVP. Nash is a great offense players but he's not all that on the defensive end.

FOR TONY AND BAMMER,
I AM THINKIN' LOgICALLY. ME BEIN' FROM DENVER, I'VE SEEN MELO SINCE HE CAME INTO THE LEAgUE. YOU MOST LIKELY HAVEN'T. HOW IS MELO INFERIOR TO LEBRON? MELO'S BEEN TO THE PLAYOFFS, LEBRON IS YET TO BE IN ONE PLAYOFF gAME. MELO HAS WON gAMES AT THE LAST SECOND. LEBRON DOESN'T HAVE THAT TOUCH. AS I SAID BEFORE, LOgIC TELLS ME THAT MELO IS UNDER-RATED AND DOESN'T gET THE CREDIT HE DESERVES. I'D RATHER BE IN THE PLAYOFFS THAN THE ALL-STAR gAME CAUSE THAT'S DEPENDENT ON YOUR COLLEAgUES VOTES, RATHER THAN YOUR OWN EFFORTS.

LeBron has won games at the last second. He just did it recently and he did it against the Lakers. If they were to play head up one on one LeBron would eat Melo alive. Being to the playoffs is more of a team thing. Denver has a better coach in Karl than LeBron does.

Mello is underrated yes, but I don't think he's an MVP candidate just yet. Maybe 2 or 3 years from now he'll have that potential, but this year naw he ain't at that level yet. Anyway as for MVP I think it should go to Nash!!! All he's really got on his team is Marion and Amare, and Amare's only played 3 games this year so all he really has is Marion. And the Suns still managed to get 50+ wins and the second seed in the West.

Yea Kobe's the leading scorer in the league and he had that 81 game performance, but other than that he hasn't really turned his team into a real contender. They may not even make it out of the first round. He's one of the best in the league ain't no arguing that, but he ain't deserving of MVP. And I'd say his D is average, nothing really special.

Anyway like I said, I think it should go to Nash. He's definitely the MVP of his squad, and I don't even like they guy but he gets my pick.

EDJ cause Mello has a good supporting cast like Miller, Boykins, Camby, and others, and a good coach too. I'll admit he's matured a lot as a player and his stats have improved this year, but he ain't an MVP candidate just yet. Like I said give him another 2 or 3 years and he'll most likely be MVP potential, but right now he ain't at that level yet.

And if it wasn't for the Nuggets being in a weak division they'd probably be the 7th seed instead of 3rd. If the Clips or the Lakers (whoever they play) get homecourt advantage, the Nuggets may not even make it out the first round.

Stern has got to change the rules. Just because you are a division leader should not allow you to get the top 3 spots. Just like teams 4-8 fight for positioning among the top 8 so should the division leaders. Dallas being one game behind the spurs should not put them in 4th while the nuggets are 16 games back.
