I just listened to that shit, and I have to say, I am hella dissapointed. Out of 24 songs at least 12 of them either had 40 on them or were Sick Wid It related. I love 40, have been a fan since back in the day, but shit. That new Levitti f./Turf Talk song is hot, and I love "The Soil". I just think the last few weeks, they have played a better mix of songs and unheard of groups were represented a little bit better. I wanna hear shit that they don't normally play. I hear "California Livin" and "Call Me on the Under" in the mix from time to time, and we all have those CDs. Can we get new shit?? Can you hip us to what's hot??? I wanna hear some Sean T, I wanna hear more from the Certified Ridas, Maybe throw on some J Official... Big Von and Scotty Fox have a nice platform to use, and I think they are using it wrong. They played that new Too Short song, and I hear that on the radio all the time.

Hell, they could have thrown Sean T's DAMN on there....40's on that. It would have fit in with the theme of the night. My first thought after listening....."40 musta breaded Big Von the fuck out." That's sad.

You know I had some similar thoughts after hearing the show tonight. I know part of it was because I wanted to hear them play a track off Sean's album and they didn't, but also because I've been listening every Sunday since the show started and recording it too. It seems like there are certain songs that make it each show, which is cool cause those songs are obviously HOT, but they could try to add some more new stuff that's coming out of the bay.

I'll continue to tune in each week and support the show since it's one of the few that plays bay music.

just my thoughts on it...

yea I was sayin the same thing, at one point they went from 40's Act A Ass to D-Shot's Call Me On The Unda, to Celly Cel It's Goin Down, 3 Sick Wid It songs in a row, of course all tight ass songs, but damn is it sick wid it week at KMEL too?? cuz they been playin a lot of 40 lately, even old shit, my boy was even complainin to me about that too that they was playi nthe shit out of Captain Save A Hoe all of a sudden, I said the same thing, but yeah they also played Practice Lookin Hard, Turf Talk The Soil, a Levitti and Turf Talk song, yeah Sick Wid It was well represented tonight haha, but HEY THEY PLAYED 2 MOB FIGAZ cuts though, so that was nice )

dayum and i was thinkin about makin a post cuzz i really wanted them to play a cipherminds track and honestly a SEan T track cuzz ive heard great things about it...lets try to continue to tune in and hope they spread the love even more...

wouldnt it be great to hear the next big thing in this show?

they should have a hit or miss slot or sumthin? two new bay cats songs go up against each others every week and people call in for which one they like. make like a competition out if it. crown a champion whose song makes the everyday type playlist?

wishful thinkin?

I just feel like they are not living up to what they said the show was gonna be.....showcasing new talent from the Bay. Scotty Fox was acting like they were gonna listen to the public in trying to determine what songs to play. I guarantee the public ain't asking for a shit load of 40/Sic Wid It.....I called in and requested Sean T the first week, the second week, and last night. I also know of people in clubs who have approached Big Von and asked him aobut playin Sean T songs. The public is asking for it, however, they are not listening. I would have much rather heard some Sean T, Quinn, Nickatina, shit, Ziggidy or V-Boy before playin "On The Under". Also, Mac Dre just released an album...He has put puot countless albums since the "California Livin" days.....why is that the only song that ever gets any radio play????

they played "Get Out There" from Jacka's new album, and they played a Husalah song, I think it was the one from the This Is How We Eat comp., but they messed up cuz he said he was gonna play a Fed-X song and dedicated the show to him again, and he played a Huss song instead and cut it off half way through
