@ Scottie Fox...

On the real I like what yall doin (for what ever reason)...and that includes Mind Motion and Ric Lee because they be holdin it down too. In Ric Lee's little hour of mixen at 5pm he damn near play 50% bay shit on some days and he always hit a nigga wit a little Pac...I hope that this leads to some NEW people being at the forefront of the Bay....because for us to blow big on a national level we need someone other then 40 to be a face in the Bay.

think about it..when did Welcome to the Bay come out, when did SO International come out, when did Automatic by 40 come out, when did we do the Grindin remix, when did who u wit come out... 2 years ago? somethin like that.. it just seems that bay area music has started itself back up.... sure there were cuts that were hot here n there, but on the WHOLE, the bay brought itself back up, and that it why we play it more now...

so what ur sayin is that the music isnt whats drivin it? its just politics? if thats so, why arent we playin every half-ass kid with a demo? BECAUSE the music is what drives it. Lot of hot shit out the bay right now...

im really not talkin down to you, im just sayin that maybe people shouldnt make accusations without basis in fact. i like 95live, i think its a great idea..the more outlets our bay artists have the better..now if only we could get a half-decent video show in the bay!
.. time will tell... I myself worked at 94.9 and i know how politics in radio work.... But doggie i appreciate u checkin 95 and supporting..

Them peoples need to boost output.

I get 94.9, but the morning show the Dogg houze is the only thing I've been feelin'
I bumped 106 all the time back in the day but now out here it blends in wit a Mexican station
It's fuckin' wacked, I can get 94.9 all the way 2 West Sac but can't get 106 in vacaville

No disrespect to 40 at all, still one of the pioneers, but i dont think he's the face as much..theres room for everyone now.

some of our biggest songs are Ride by Easki and the Frontline joint...im open to listen to whatever, but at the same time, its gotta be hot and sometin the people can get with...fortunately, lot of bay artists are hittin the right notes on that...beyond our station playlist, we play a lot more bay shit in the mixes..Guce & Killatay, jacka, dub 20, encore from heiro, keak, quinn, mess, etc.... just as long as its hot, keep it comin

yeah..ive heard it all "fuck clear channel' and ur right, they got some shitty practices, bein corporate n all.. but peep this...instead of every sittin back throwin rocks at em, why dont u USE the system to BEAT the system? If u ever look at playlists for stations across the country, major markets or whatever, ull see very little local acts..in NY hardly any local acts get played, except the BIG name cats..same with LA, they play a few more... smaller spots like new orleans n Houston hold it down for theirs, but its not common across the board...

ok..here we go..radio stations look at each others playlists all the time.. so whats gonna happen when they see Easki n Frontline at the top of our playlists? They might give it that extra listen etc.. think about it..a few years ago..if Ski gave us that record, if it got played at all, it woulda been on KMEL only..now...wild can share it, KDOn in salinas can get it, and it branches out from there... im not defendin CC at all, they are relaly the evil empire sometimes, but u can make that shit work for u.... just some game

SO true....Man the Bay is making better shit now, that's the key...Cats are workin hard on their stuff and taking time....Somethin we shoulda been doin a LONG time ago.

As long as I've known Scotty and Von they have ALWAYS supported Bay music and played it whenever they could. They now have a bit more freedom to play it and that's a GREAT thing REGARDLESS of whatever "reason" u wanna put on it.

Just my 2 cents...

That's a good point. I haven't ever heard anyone mentioning something like that and I never even thought about it from that point of view.

Those coments were on point...It is good to see you doin ya thang within the system...keep it up...I think the Bay artist, dj's, fans, ect. should keep the presure up, because THE BAY IS WINING as of right now. Cat's like Guce, Laroo and Encore are getting prime time mixshow spins...not to mention the artist like San Quinn, The Frontline, Federation, EA-SKI and Keak who have ERNED a right to be apart of the regular rotation...Now we just need to turn the buzz around Bay artist into soundscan #'s so that are areas music scence can spread around the country.

everybody speaking real shit....but Fedel got it...SALES. the point of airplay is for exposer to make $ales. or is just being local celebrties for a few months while your songs being played good enough? See the BAY has been put through so much and people can blame anybody they want...basically this is just not as cool a business as everyone grew up thinking. So many things come into place when speaking of the music business....but then theres the BAY AREA music business. which is totally different. I mean we are actually starting from scratch to an extent. feel it? I mean alot of the older cats either got into the everyman for themself state of mind or just gave up completly...But yeah cats is getting airtime and they'll do a show in the bay and get hella love...but wheres the DOE. Cats albums gettin pushed back, and everyother reason in the book. I mean the other part of the business which is actually the money making part has to now be thought through and quick. Unless some money start getting pulled in where will the BAY be 3 years from now. Back to square 1. lets show the world we had it got it and will keep it and finally have not one huge artist soundscan wise but several.

thats one thing! we can hear some hot ass shit on kmel from bay aritsts. espeically on the block or the chop shop right. but then it takes forever for that album to drop! the album might drop like 8months after the first single was gettin major airplay on the radio! knt with "come see us", federation with "hyphy", (when did that front line "what is it" get play on kmel first?), also the knt "come see us", and some of the san quinn songs off his new album, just to name a few. i know that the artists want to feed the fans some shit to hold them tight till the album drops, but then sometimes the wait is too long you feel. but i dont know much about how the whole business works, but if you got a hot track on the radio that gets play all day, use that shit to your advantage!
