good lookin on this but im not really feelin it...couple decent songs but the beats are too weird for me, they dont flow that well and switch up way too often during the song. "Go!" and "willie burke sherwood" are pretty dope though.

Funny enough I think that's what makes the album great. Like on Reagan how the beat builds off itself and slightly changes up as the intensity of the song grows as it progresses I thought was awesome. I'll be the first to admit I'm a fan of unorthodox beats (and ideas) in hip-hop though. I get bored quickly by highly repetitive beats and the whole verse, chorus, verse (shout out to Nirvana) formula that is the industry standard.

Plus the album has a whole throwback feel to it. Like on some Public Enemy, early NWA, militant type stuff but with a mix of 1990s grimey NYC sound with a southern feel... both of the last two for the obvious reasons.

Oh yeah I know man. I was just kind of pointing out how something that kind of kills it for one person for a album, can also make the album great for someone else. I think music is crazy like that and it all comes down to personal taste which is why I think it's great there is lots of different sounding shit out there these days. Even if something isn't for you, or for me, it's nice to have new stuff to check out and just like all art music is subjective so there is really no right or wrong opinion.

I still haven't listened to it, I'm a big Killa Mike fan, but I'm not a big El-P fan aside from Funcrusher Plus. Sucks tho, I hella wanna see Killa Mike live but have zero interest in seeing anyone else.

(lmao @ my phone trying to correct Killa with Killarney)

I'm not a fan of El-P either aside from some of his production in the past. But he kills it on the production tip on this, in my opinion at least. Also Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire is dope. That's the main reason I bought tickets for the show followed by Killer Mike being there too.

its okay but that new krizz kaliko album sounds better to me.

i wonder what happened to Slim Calhoun he was signed to outkast label the same time as killer mike. and imo he was better then mike. This song right here was my shit straight classic. if u listen to closely u will see T.I. stole Calhouns delivary for his trap muzik album.

This album is dooope. I got it yesterday and listened to it 5 times straight through. It reminds me of Cubes Amerikkkas Most Wanted and PE Bomb Squad. I cant believe how good TI and Bun B sound over El-P production.
