The woofer is built on a proprietary two-piece die-cast frame with the front half containing the cone assembly and front mounted spider, and the back half the motor assembly, rear mounted spider plus pole piece and pole vent. The frame has 12 spokes; six to support the mounting flange and six to support the front spider mounting shelf.

Like the motor system, the cone assembly of the KFC-XW1300DVC is proprietary. The cone, a 13" rather than 12", is actually a two-piece type with a non-pressed pulp-type rear cone combined with a PBO cone pressed into what Kenwood calls the "Tornado" shape. PBO, also known as Phenylene Benxobisoxazole (yeah, I can't pronounce it either), looks like aluminum but is a woven fiber that has a tensile strength greater than Kevlar and carbon-fiber.

This Subwoofer is brand new and had wires attached once for 5 minutes to make sure the sub works, the sub was placed open in the back of a 1986 Mustang connected to a 1300 watt amp, this sub hit harder outside of a box harder than the two 12's that were in the car. This sub retails from Kenwood for $849, and the lowest price I have found on the internet has been $379. This is a truly amazing subwoofer. CarAudioMag.com said "Muscle to spare".
Please Email [email protected], I have pictures if interested, but photos are available on the internet.

Price- $300

I am also willing to trade for a In dash DVD unit in excellent condition

ur never gonna sell a kenwood sub, no1 wants that garbage. not for that price atleast
Damn I was gonna post that shit. Kenwood is garbage, they sell a lot of decks but that's only because pretty colors and designs attract people. Everyone I know that has bought Kenwood shit has eventually been disappointed.

If you're looking for quality go:

Deck: Alpine or Eclipse
Speakers: Focal
Amps: JL Audio (really theirs a lot of good companys, a lot are just expensive as fuck though)
Subs: RE (resonant engineering) or JL Audio

Yeah I know this isn't a request a system thread just thought I'd lace up some info for anyone that might want it.
