For once, I think your right about this. Let's face this, Keak is NOT gonna go gold or platinum, which is what a label like Atlantic or Def Jam is set up for. Koch has a lower budegt, but a rapper has more freedom, gets more profit

HE HAD SO MANY RADIO FRIENDLY SONGS, I LOST COUNT. HIS PRODUCTION WAS INCREDIBLE AND THE SONGS I HEARD WERE AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN ANYTHING BUMPIN ON THE RADIO RIGHT NOW. we'll see... nobody on earth thought jim jones would ever drop a monster smash like ballin, but he did. keak dropped superhyphy and it was huge, who knows what it woulda done with a machine behind it. as far as 7 dollars a cd, its very common. we get it at cityhall, also at sony red. like u said each deal is different so who knows what they'll give him. i was just tryin to show a senerio that cats could relate to. i do not claim to know the details of this deal, i only wish keak, sonny and pete the best. like i said, they're good guys and deserve a break.
I feel you on that. I just get sick of people making it seem like it's that easy. Not saying that you are doing that, but I read some of the shit some artist say and it's like COME ON MAN! Good for Kafani and Keak. I hope people are willing to take a chance with his voice, because he is REALLY hard to understand now.
If Jimmy sold 450,000 at 7 dollars or nah lets say 6 thatd be 2.7 million in his pocket (before taxes obviousley). If someone like jeezy sold 2 million at a $1 a cd that would be 2 million..I see why for some people majors arent worth it. Of course cats dont just make money off their CDs they got all their promotional shit which someone on a major would probly make more with because they're known and people wanna see shit with their name on it more
man 2 be honest keak has fallen off he should have signed a year ago not a 2 days ago his voice is all fuicked up latley i mean im a keak fan and he does seem to drop hot shit but the shit he's been doin latley and he'll probably never be as hot as he was when tell me when 2 go dropped but hey u never know i hope he does well
