on a more practical note, how does it work that anyone can win video of the year without winning the best female/male video of the year? youre not the best woman video but the you are the best overall video?

that doesn't make any sense to me. but now i just realized i spent more than 20 seconds thinking about how mtv operates and i am ashamed.

Kanye's an asshole. If he doesn't like Taylor or her music, why hate? He didn't have to ruin Taylor's FIRST moment. If someone wins an award, then good for them. Not always are we going to agree or like it, but we should be proud she won something. There are good singers of every genre of music.
