That is what I'd do too most of the time. But when it comes to rape, murder, etc., your ass is going to fry. I don't protect chesters, and if you say it yourself that thats an exception, that its ok to be a snitch in that case....why wouldn't murder (esp. of innocents) or rape be on that list too?

Personally, in my opinion, a rat is a traitor who talks to better him/herself's stature. Elementary students refer to them as "tattle-tales".

Informants are people who are willing to give valuable information for the better of society. In the example of a mother or sisiter being killed, informing authorities of who committed the crime will get rid of the defendants off the streets. At the same time it will stop the continued cycle of violence in that circle. In the Bay Area, we do not see many "snitch killings" as the norm with the exception of some gang violence.

If i choose to take vengeance by killing my mother's murderer then it'll only lead me to be murked by that murderer's associates/friend as part of their vengeance on me. The cycle will continue if citizens decide to take justice in their own hands. Nonsense violence has to stop.
