Why does it seem like cats never gave this album its proper recognition ??

The production was nasty! And everybody who spit on it came widdit! JT was flowin throughout!

This album reminds me of a bay area version of "Chronic 2001". You got JT bustin on every track , but there are alot of guest appearances , and they all shine. And the production was tough! Seemed like he followed that same "2001" formula , granted its nowhere close to that album , but still. And on a sidenote : "All Of The Above" sort of sounds like the same beat as "The Watcher" if you listen closely. They jacked that shit and ran widdit! JT also flipped that line by Snoop from "Aint No Fun" and used it for the hook. That track was tight though!

LET EM KNOW!!!

Agreed. HUSTLE RELENTLESS is a very dope CD...individually, all the songs hit in one way or another, and everyone who appeared put it down. San Quinn was as lyrical as ever, and The Gamblaz, Young Noble, Ray Luv, Guce, Big Rich, Cozmo and (the underrated) Ive Lowe excelled. My favorites are "Neighborhood Supastar", "Know About It", "The Other Side of The Game 2", "Millionaire Pirates" (take THAT, Memphis Bleek!), "On The Run", "All The Above" and JT's freestyle (but I can't honestly say that any of these tracks are wack, to tell you the truth).

The problem is, JT has caught a lot of heat lately for putting out compilations with recycled tracks and for making collaboration CDs that weren't quite what they claimed to be, and this may have kept some Bay fans from giving HUSTLE RELENTLESS the fair shot it deserves. But generally speaking, the "in-house" solo GET LOW CDs have still been pretty dope bets (try JT and The Gamblaz "Know About It", Authentic's "Solo Album", Telly Mac's inconsistent-but-still-pretty-good "Business is Business" and D-Moe's "Ghost Writer" for proof).

I had a LOT of fun bumping this one in my ride and at home all last summer, and this could stand out as "prime 2002 JT" when the history books on the Bay Area Rap scene are written. PEACE!

i ain't buy get low's shit anymore cuz 3/4 of the songs on new cd's i've already heard. But i can agree that Hustle relentless had some clean songs, but like playa510 said, theres other albums that were by far better then this.

I wasn't feeling Hustle Relentless at all, matter of fact I just sold my copy to Back Door Records in Cotati. If you want it go ahead and peep it in the used section....

lyrically JT and the rest of his camp weren't going to spit anything I haven't heard, so I wasn't impressed. So what does that leave? Production, it wasn't popping in my opinion. I give the album a 5.5/10.....

Hustle Relentless gets a 7.5/10 from me. It had its tight cuts and was clean all the way through but not a standout effort and it also had its classic Getlow recyclables. I liked it a lot but I think in the last three years or so there's at least a dozen bay albums that are much much better. Like Done Deal Fam, UGA, Mackin Speaks Louder Than Words, Blocc Movement, Immaculate, The Jacka, Headshotz, etc. etc. etc.
