Russel Simmons picked Jay-Z to take over Def Jam for a reason. And if ya'll dont understand that reason, you're trippin too hard off your own local rappers to realize there's any other mouthpiece on the planet.
The Black Album was bomb as hell man. Good production, good flows. Growing up, I never really got into Jay's music. But now that I've gotten a bit older and more mature, Jay-Z is one artist that I realize has always been one of the best. Im hoping both Nas and Jay drop their albums close together and hurt the charts for weeks. Dudes like Camron who wanna rap about all the bitches they get and the ice that they rock and stacks of bread they got (great lyrical content huh?) cant even hold a candle to Jay-Z's rap game, money game, business game, or... well, Beyonce.
"...Im in the air, I dont hear niggaz corny raps..."
Ya'll will know what time it is soon enough.
