i think if it comes out that vick WASNT involved in the actual killing of these dogs by drowning hanging etc..., then he has a MUCH better chance for redemption.
also people keep throwing around gambling issues and all, but first off, it says by admission of his co defendants that VICK RECEIVED NO MONEY AS A RESULT OF WINNING MATCHES.

it seems like (probably because I'm a Vick fan) he had money and gave it to someone who started a dog fighting thing with that money & property....it was probably lucrative and that person invited Vick over a few times to spectate. Who knows. He could've masterminded the whole thing and been the one sentencing these dogs to death & killing them.

Gotta love the Vickie apologists. I have no doubt in my mind that he participated in the fighting of, gambling on and killing of dogs. He is nothing but a criminal. He should spend at least 18 months in jail and never be allowed to play in the NFL again. He can go play in the arena league or own a 7-11 at this point. Vickie, I hope the rush and thrill of 2 animals tearing each other apart was well worth all of the money, freedom and fame. He was privileged enough to be able to play in the NFL, but now he should lose it for good.
Good, that would also get shot down because snakes naturally eat mice just like we (well, most of us) naturally eat cows. It's different from electrocuting a dog because it didn't fight as well as you wanted it to. We don't drown the cows and electrocute them before we chop them up and eat them. They get a quick bullet to the dome and it's over. On top of that, feeder mice and cows and anything else that gets eaten dies for a purpose (to be eaten, obviously) while these dogs were killed for the fuck of it. I wouldn't have such a big problem with Vick's actions if he didn't torture them instead of simply euthanizing them or blasting their domes off.

My dog was bred to have size and be a guard dog, but he didn't become that dog until I raised him to be that dog. In other words, he turned out to be whatever I decided he was gonna be. I coulda raised him to be a fighter or a sissy if I wanted to. In no way is it his fault that he turned out to be a house/guard dog instead of a fighter. Any way you look at it, the people who made them fight are to blame, and Vick is one of them.
