Word, I'm droppin $200 on Mayorga,
$200 On Marquez that he's gonna knock Pacquiao out,
and another $200 on Tarver over Jones....
$200 on Marquez? Comon now...

You safest bet is on Tarver. I put money on Tarver when I was in vegas. The odds were at 4:1, I don't know what they are at now. 2 More Weeks!

Yeah I dropped $200 on him the first time.
Right now he's the 5 to 1 underdog.

As for Marquez, you better believe it man.
The guy is a very strong boxer-puncher pure featherweight.
With the execption of his south paw style, the PacMan's bum-rushing style caters' Jual Manuel's style.
I can see Marquez controlling him with his jab from the outside, and catching Pacquiao with a vicious right hand as he comes inside.

Pac can throw a barrage of punches without running out of gas. Plus he is a fast and strong puncher.

I like Marquez also...not taking a dime away from him. I just firmly believe that he wont be able to 1) Trade with pac and 2) Outbox Pac.

Remember, Marquez's biggest performance was against Tim Austin, and he was losing the fight until he got that KO.

Pac clearly dominated Barrera.

It's boxing though...anything can happen. It's gonna be great. Lets just see what happens.

Damn, I'd put all the money in the reverse! We're just gonna have to wait and see!

By the way, I thought Mayorga beat the track star Spinks....
Hell naw, you sleepin folx, mayorga looked hella weak against spinks he couldn't even touch em. It ended up going all 12 rds. and spinks won unanimously i think.

Spinks didn't do anything to win either.
At least Mayorga pressed the fight, Spinks was just running around and wasn't effective.
What cracks me up is that judges think good deffense gives you points, WTF????

KaliHydro,
you're mistaking Rafael Marquez with Juan Manuel.
Juan Manuel's fighting the PacMan.
This Marquez is the one that was ranked number one in the WBO for about 2 years while Hamed was the champ. Fuckin gay ass Naseem was paying the WBO off so that he wouldn't have to face Marquez.
Marquez later became champ and took a fight against Gainer to prove how good he was. But fuckin Gainer pulled a Corey Spinks and just kept runnin until he was TKO'd.

Marquez is very hungry, he wants to prove the world he's the best featherweight and he's been waiting for a big fight like this for a long ass time. He has one of the best trainers in the world with Nacho Berenstein. It's gonna be a tough fight, but I don't think the PacMan's speed and volume of punches is going to help much. It might work against a fighter his size and a fighter who's not a good boxer, but I don't think its going to work against a fighter like Marquez.

BTW,
my bro sparred with the Marquez brothers. These guys spar with lightweights and welterweights :knockout:

Ah yeah..my bad.

That Gainer fight was ridiculous though...on Smoke's part.
That was the dullest fight I have ever seen in my life..no exageration. Hmm..so I dont know much about this Marquez then. One more week.

I did see Kermit Cintron drop Elio Ortiz this mroning though...that was ill. I'm not a big Cintron fan, I actually fear his presence in that division. He is just that good.

Mayorga's an idiot. I hope Trinidad teaches him a good lesson. The last thing boxing needs is punks like Mayorga, the game has been dragged through the gutter enough over recent years

that is of course unless your name is De La Hoya. then it is the reverse
How about Muhammad Ali????

What are you trying to say? That De La Hoya runs like a track star too?
If I can recall, he cut both of Trinidad's eyes, bloodied his nose and mouth.
That's being deffensive but not effective? LOL!

It's called ballancing your deffense with a good offense....

Cintron didn't impress me much the first time I saw him, but he has improved singnificantly.
But lets see how he looks against a non-stationary target....

I think a guy like Mayorga is good for boxing, he's a clown.
No one takes him seriously, he even said all the beer and cigs are just for show.

The dude has charisma, he's hella funny.
We need more figters like him, he talks a lot of shit.
James Toney is like that too, and he hella cracks me up.

you got me wrong. i am a DLH fan.

what i was saying is that when other people fight that way its called being "smart", and/or "crafty" and/or "defensive" but when DLH does it, it is called running by many boxing insiders and fans. whats up with the double standard??

Damn my bad Hatch LOL!

It's definately a double standard.
Same with clinching/holding, its against the rules but why is it that they allow certain fighters to get away with it? Some even make a career out of doing it.
