i dont give a fuck wut anybody says, mayorga is still savage as fuck, he completely embarased tito in round 1 when he jus stood there daring him to hit him, none of titos hits fazed him until the last round they fought. id like to see a rematch cuz that was a straight cockfight

Trinidad deserves A LOT more credit than he's getting here. I mean he came back after TWO years out of the ring with no warm up fight and got straight in with a dangerous fighter like Mayorga and knocked him out in eight rounds. That's a hell of a comeback in my book. Give the guy some respect for fuck's sake. Look at the fight stats .. Compubox numbers : Trinidad lands 290 of 460 (63%) Mayorga lands 141 of 564 (25%). Power shots : Trinidad lands 218 of 329 (66%) Mayorga lands 128 of 391 (33%). That's pretty conclusive wouldn't you agree?

come on dog he was doing that shit in round 1 but tito was rusty and hes not gonna hit him full on when the guy is waiting for him to hit him... and none of his hits fazed him? by a few rounds later he was giving tito hella respect tito had him hurt from that point on he took like a minute when he got hit on the hip and if he wasnt hurt he wouldnt have taking that long str8 up... mayorga does have a savage chin but he was hurt for along time and tito for the most part never was...

I give Mayorga all the respect in the world...just when you thought he was done, fatigued, close to being KO'd he draws this energy from god knows where fires back and backs tito up and when he was down he wouldnt stay down, the ref had to call that shit off at the 3rd time, he was on his way back up AGAIN...heart like a muthafucka.

they were right, mayorga is not the same fighter after puttin on that weight.........he was gassed after the 4th round..........he is a total SAVAGE tho........he has no defense to speak of lol...........tito looked like he was in great shape, but still i don't think he can take Hopkins punches. de la hoya v.s. trinidad is old news.....right now i'ts up to Hopkins who fights who........Winky Wright v.s. Sugar Shane on Nov, i hope Mosely can get his shit back to where he was like the 1st de la hoya fight !!

but yeah, that was a good azz fight, too bad i lost $100 on mayorga, oh well.......

I think Mayorga took everything Tito gave him.
The difference in the fight was conditioning, Mayorga got tired while Tito came in well prepared.
Remember, it was a body shot that finally dropped Mayorga.
The two division jump Mayorga took paid it's toll on him....

So far this has to be the fight of the year.
The only fight that comes close to this was Pacquiao VS Marquez....
Trinidad's fighting De La Hoya next, but that's if they can agree at which weight they'll fight in.
I don't think Tito will fight at a catch weight, so De La Hoya will be forced to fight him at 160 lbs.
I think De La Hoya fights the winner of Mosley VS Wright II and Trinidad ends up fighting Hopkins again while Tarver fights Johnson.
Good fights no matter what happens....

What fight were you watching? Tito's shots did daze him even in the first round. You see Mayorga only dropped his hands one time right?

It didnt surprise me that Tito won in Trinidad fashion. A boxer 9/10 times will beat a streetfighter anyday. I dont take nothing from my nicoyan fighter Mayorga but moving up 2 weightclasses was a bigmistake. By the second round his ciggarette smoking habit got to him. Trinidad kept switching up his boxing style and that was fustrating Mayorga. The quicker puncher handsdown was Mayorga, even fatigued he was still throwing them. Trinidad handsdown was the most powerful. Id like to see a rematch at superwelterweight and a more disciplined Mayorga. Delahoya is done at middleweight, so its doubtful we see a Trinidad vs Delahoya II unless he wants to make more money and wants to take another loss, which a stubborn delahoya dont mind doing cause he wants to avenge his loss. Winky vs Mosely II is gonna have the same outcome. Mosely doesn't have anything to prove other than getting a victory and retireing. I truely hope Tarver and Hopkins can find a match weight. Thats a fight im sure most boxing fans would like to see.
