Being born somewhere don't mean shit, it's the amount of time invested and your familiarity with the place. It should feel like home and people should embrace you there. I agree, I wouldn't say 10 years though. More like elementary/junior high thru high school. Cuz that's between the time you're a kid to becoming an adoloscent to a man. Pretty much if a person was a bitch in junior high it follows him into his adulthood. LOL. But most the cats from wherever you're from you know them from that frame time. Anyone coming in after that is a alien so to speak.

Me I was born in Frisco but moved to Vallejo in 6th grade. All the way through high school. So more cats know me in Vallejo, barely known in the Sco. So I never claim it. It's Bay All Day regardless though.
