The other day I was getting a meal at the school before the class started. I sat down took of my cap, and began to eat. Two of the teachers walk by, and one of them tells me to put on my cap. I said: "I'm eating", then the teacher says: "WHAT?, Put It On". I told the teacher it was against my religion, and he said: "I don't care, put it on". When I got into my class room, the executive Chef, asks me what's the problem. I told him about the religion thing. He said he was sorry about the Chef's attitude, but rules are rules, blah, blah, and that I could go eat outside or he can talk to me about arranging somewhere downstairs to eat. I found out that nobody really even goes downstairs, the building is still being worked on.

Nah man, don't let them do that shit. If you honestly care, I'd challenge them. Continue to eat with your cap off while eating and wait until you get in trouble. Then, contact the local newspapers and tv stations, all of them, at least one will cover the story. Once the media gets involved, the pressure will be on the school. Gather your friends and family to support you. You'll change the schools rules fasho.

This is how most students change schools. I had a friend who was responsible for getting the Confederate flag off the schools mascot or whatever. I'm pretty sure this is the same route he took.

BTW, what school makes their students wear a cap? And what religion says you cant have a cap on while eating or did you just make that shit up????

yeah, its a health reason if you are eating in a kitchen without anything covering your hair, but if you are in a desgnated eating area, then they have no right to force you to wear a hat.

your post really doesnt explain the situation but if you are a studen in high school, i would not do what they say.

It was not in the kitchen, and yes it is a culinary school. My Mom said Catholics, aren't supposed to eat with their caps on. Also it seems like they let ish slide with the teachers. One time I didn't shave for a day, and the executive Chef took me out of class to buy a piece of ish razor for $2, so I could shave. I take it might not have even been a men's razor, I think it could have been a cheap ass women's razor.

I was eating at a place they have set up for students to eat at in one of the halls. I got a very expensive loan from the bank, so I could go to this school. Some of the students think that the food is actually free, but it's not, it is part of what you pay the school for. They claim to be the "2nd." or "3rd." best school in the world, and want to teach us some classical French things. I would think that a classical French thing to do, is to take off your hat when your going to sit down & eat.
