I've given the new Stalin/Fresh project "The Real World Part 3: West Oakland" a few listens from start to finish and although I'm pleased with the quality of the project (Stalin shines), I noticed 3 beats on the shit that sounded hella similar to beats in the past. Not saying that Fresh, or anybody else for that matter is biting, just wondering what the business is.....Here go the songs that got my attention...

"Allergic to Niggaz" - "Party Jumpin" (Stalin & Mekanix)
"If I Fall Down" - "Let's Dance" (Mazaradi Fox song, dont know the producer)
"Who Are You" - "How I Came Up" (Quinn & Mess, dont know the producer)

Maybe im tripping lol but these beats sounding real close to each other.

DJ Fresh is known for sampling, which is taking older songs and flipping them into their own creation.

Both Party Jumpin' and Allergic to Niggaz are sampled from an 80's song, and I'm pretty sure Fresh's version has the original sample in it, where the Mechanix recomposed it.

Same thing goes for all of the others. They just coincidentally happen to use the same samples from older songs.

I think its a sample thing. I'm sure Fresh will answer himself. Dude does do hundreds of songs more than your average producer and most are very good, so it wouldn't be uncommon to hear some similarities.

and black c's "I Got Money" from 70's baby sounds dead on.

the song comes on here @ 2:08

From the sounds of it, they just looped the samples, both of them. Should have tried to flip it at least.

That J Stalin "If I Fall Down" was used before by Prodigy from Mobb Deep for a song called "In a Smash"

I dont blame him for using that sample tho...dope as fuck

The amount of sample beats and albums Fresh makes its bound to happen

My point being, is that samples get reused on multiple occasions. It's not often you find a sample that hasn't been touched.

Just go to whosampled.com and search a song you know has been sampled. It might just show up more than once.
