Is The North West Getting HYPHY with the rest of the WEST?

For example you could have a homie thats dont dance,rap,or nothing but bust heads every time he come around he bust a nigga head! That nigga is hyphy is all you hear in the crowd! Or a known rider from the hood that always wanna shoot that nigga is hyphy! Or getting money in a big fashing,stunting real hard, all that is hyphy! And we all have been doing pieces of it our whole life from west to east north to south! The bay just gave it a name! and a Face!

That's not what I meant. People constantly compare NW music, style, etc (at least on here) to the Bay. I'm not saying that you shouldn't support Hyphy, do whatever you guys want. All I'm saying is that you can't expect people to think we're different and have something else to show them when we support everything from Cali like our state has nothing worth supporting. Start a NW movement like MrSnicc has been talkin about and support that. You don't see other regions blowing up for dick riding other movements, you gotta start your own shit and get a following, rather than being the follower and hoping that some honey drips from the pot. If this region is gonna be recognized, my opinion is that it should be for something NW, not for supporting some other shit. And just because you think your music sounds one way, doesn't mean fans and everyone else won't label you as somethin you're not.
And I gotta say, to all the people sayin "fuck those people who say the NW isn't gettin Hyphy," you guys should think before you type. You don't represent everyone in the NW, only yourselves. So saying that the NW gets Hyphy is an overstatement. A lot of people in the NW (not on this site) that I've talked to can't stand the shit. That and you just sound stupid when there's people on here saying NO, and then you're answer is YES, everyone is, all the NW is...have you read the thread? lol...

were not followers at all.. the whole west is supportin the hyphy movement.. its a west coast take over right now... hyphy is just ONE of the many elements we have to offer on this side of the map... people through-out the whole west get HYPHY. theres people in the BAY born and raised that dont like it... but regardless, we should embrace it all, hyphy, gangsta, happy, sad, what ever.. cause its our time to eat.. the east is SLEEP, and the south is quiet, other then the cats thats fuckin wit the west.. ive been talkin to factors and pioneers in this west coast movement (no need to name names) but they all say "its gonna take the WHOLE west to get together to take it over the way we feel it should be, portland and seattle, to the bay, to l.a. and san diego" and its happening.... regardless.. the west will hold the crown for a LONG time now.. mark my words...
I don't like the fact that a lot of Northwest artists jump on another region's style and use it up till it's over.. I guarantee that more Northwest artists have been/are going to get HYPHY YADADADADA YEE!! all over their songs knowing damn well they wasn't shoutin the shit a year ago.. that's cool though.. I fucks with the Bay, Fabby is my dude.. what I do agree with is that by the Bay bringing these A&R's back west, it'll give these labels no choice but to come up North for the NEXT BEST THING.. hopefully muhfuckas out here will get original and come together to form that, cuz yes, hyphy will die out.. just like crunk. Proven facts in hip-hop. Trends go quick with the fickle audience we have.
Calm down there it will be okay no one is denying it..I'm sure your hood was getting crunk when Lil John first came out too..I know I was too..My point is cats won't stay hyphy for very long..I hope it will evolve into something else cuz going dumb can't hold the west down for too long..its a start tho
Agreed, and on another note, going/being dumb, stupid, or retarded is not exactly something that promotes intelligence....In other words, it makes you look like a MORON. But that's my opinion....And like you said, it can't hold the west down for too long...and that too long is about up as popular culture is already clowning the shit out of Hyphy. If there's gonna be a SOLID movement, it won't be based on acting like a fucking dumb shit.
