Is the economy affecting you?

I make $9.70 an hour. It's a small amount, but better than minimum wage of course. I work in the Produce dept, by the way. I hardly ever deal with customers, so it's kinda chill like dude^^^ is saying. The work itself is kind of a bitch sometimes, but good thing I really don't deal with customers much. Mainly just stock and break down loads.
I really don't want to stay here for much longer though or atleast don't want to make it my career job. I ultimately want a better paying job, I didn't get a degree for nothing. I have an AS, I can do something a lil better. I mean I'm happy because I know the job 100%, but the pay has no future and hours get cut, unless I become manager and stay with the company for some good amount of years. There's just too much politics though, that's why I'd never want to manage, it's a risk and they can move you around a lot. I'm going on almost 3years. I can see myself getting a good job though and perhaps working partime here still like 16hrs a week or so just for a few extra bucks. So I think it'll definitely be a cool lil side gig job, that's what I'm looking at.
